Cold beer
After tons of years coming up to door county never have their fish fry. The fish was cold and rubbery fries same. They forgot our coleslaw, went back to get it and asked for a refund. Granted this was a takeout order, food should still be fresh. He told me well you took the fish and I can give you a couple drink tokens. Never again
Way overpriced
Good food, once we were seated it was fast service. We enjoyed a beverage while we waited for a table at the outdoor bar in the back.
This is a great place to eat lunch or dinner. Lunch is served at the bar and dinner in a really nice dining room. The food is always great - for dinner I had the 4 piece broasted chicken and my wife had the corned beef and Swiss cheese sandwich. The server, Andres, was really special - very upbeat and took care of all his customers even though it was quite busy. We liked it so much we ate there 3 times during our week stay.
To the owner of the establishment - you are losing out on evening business due to a lazy bartender. I brought a group of 16 friends to Sister Bay Bowl on August 14th to celebrate my birthday. We all work up here seasonally in Door County, and headed over to Sister Bay Bowl as quickly as we could after work. Your voicemail says the bar and bowling are open until 2AM. We arrive at 11:20 PM to find the door locked and most of the lights out. When I looked in the window, I saw the bartender still inside and motioned for him to come talk to me. When I finally convinced him to come out, I asked, "Aren't you supposed to be open right now?" He responded, "Yes, we're open until 2, but we close early if it is slow." I motioned to the four cars of people there, ready to bowl and pay for three lanes for a couple hours, drink, tip, and eat, and asked if he would open back up. He said he couldn't because he'd already closed the registers for the night. No apology, nothing. Just a shoulder shrug. That is a lot of lost revenue. Unable to bowl, we took our business to AC Tap instead. While we were there, we explained what happened to the bartender. A Sister Bay Bowl employee also at the bar overheard the situation and said that this is typical of the man who was working on the evening of the 14th, so this is not the first time he has closed early. I could have understood if it was 1AM or even 12:30PM, but when you're supposed to be open until 2AM and you close at 11PM, that's just a bad business model. Suffice to say, the birthday outing was ruined and it was a disappointing night all around. There are many folks who work up here who would like to be able to enjoy grabbing a drink and bowling after work. We had celebrated a birthday at Sister Bay Bowl after work last year. We'll take our business to Cherry Lanes in the future.
We come to the Bowl once per trip to Door County for their perch sandwich, which is in our opinion, the best we have found. We top that off with a Baumeister root beer and we have a very filling, tasty lunch. We come in on a weekday so it is not overly crowded and get seated right away. We have not come for a supper meal or had anything else but the perch sandwich.
I’ve been coming to Sister Bay Bowl for years. The prime rib special is such a mouth watering experience I can’t even describe it. I order medium rare blackened and every time the meat is done to perfection.
Fantastic experience. Old Fashioned & Tavern pizza!
Food was expensive for being basic bar food ($30 for fried shrimp dinner), service was extremely slow, had to get our own ketchup. Would not recommend coming here. Only 5 bowling lanes. Thank God we weren’t planning on that!
This restaurant is our favorite place to eat when we are in Door County! Excellent fish fry, chicken and of course the prime rib!!! The staff is very friendly and accommodating too.😃

My wife had prime rib entree..had to ask for a sharper knife in her attempt to cut it? My scallops were Heavy breaded ...
Was disappointed our Brandy Old Fashion & Whiskey Sour drinks were served in plastic disposable cups???
My family and I have been coming here to bowl for decades and unfortunately today we had our first less than stellar experience. In no way do I put this on the staff - they were just simply overwhelmed. We arrived at 4:18 for a single game of bowling and had to wait over an hour to get a lane. This is totally not a problem but was unexpected as this has never been the case. I understand that in recent years Door County has grown in popularity and with it being a rainy day, we figured SBB would be busy - just not like this.
Once we did finally get a lane, the bowling was going great until around frame 7 when a pin got stuck and we couldn’t continue to bowl until a staff member came to reset the lane. The line to talk to the bartender took 20 minutes and then another 5 to get the lane working again. We continued to bowl and then before we could finish (We were in the middle of Frame 9) the lights to our lane were shut off and another group came over to say the staff told them our time was up and the lane was now theirs.
I then went to pay for my cheese curds and drinks and was charged for 1.5 hours of bowling - even though the extra time was due to the pin being stuck - and the bowling was already charged to another members credit card. Since the place was so packed I decided not to argue and just paid the entire bill and left.
A very unfortunate experience and if anyone from Management reads this I want to make it clear that the staff was great but just severely undermanned.
The kids Mac and cheese dinner was Kraft, but the kids loved it 🤷♀️ It was enough for the 5 yo and 2 yo to share as the fries were generous. $10 for that. My Asian salad was $18, which seemed too high for the ice berg, carrots, cabbage and 5 almond slivers I received. Would be good with chicken. My husband LOVED his perch dinner, he got the full portion, which was too much even for him. We’re waiting to see the damage on that lol.
The food is good but I was very surprised when we ate there on Saturday 7/5 and they had raised most of there prices 25%. The broasted chicken went from $19.95 to $24.95. The appetizers went up between 20% and 25%.
Roasted chicken was very good
