Nothing like placing an order and then being ignored when you come to pick it up. I got there waited in line. I was second. Hostess took them and didn’t return for a minute. I sat down to wait. It was a minute. The second, literally the second, a customer came in she helped him. I can see why Matsumoto was busier.

I’m regular here for a long time since they opened up their little cafe a few years ago. Such a cute little place to chill, ran by the sweetest people in a town like this. Food takes time, but it’s definitely worth the wait. Everything is made on the go, and everything is as fresh as it can be. You won’t be disappointed. I have to admit, this local spot should be hotter, and with a better rating. I have been fortunate to take my family in the second half of my life to eat in some of the finest dining establishments in the country and the world. Yet teach them, to cook for themselves and to not be above macaroni and cheese with canned tuna and peas. They understand the beauty and perplexities of a greasy spoon and the mom and pop establishments in their community.
This restaurant has incredible food. Like, drive out of your way to eat here food. The sauces are eaily house made from scratch. I don't think I have had a better bite of grilled mixed vegetables. I felt bad I was ignoring my chicken teriyaki because the vegetables and fried rice were perfect.
The wonderful flavors led to me ordering the curry chicken katsu to-go (suggestion from the young lady behind the bar) for dinner later. I didn't eat it for dinner. I ended up reheating it for breakfast, and it lead me to writing a review. Wellllll damn! I'll be back for sure.

My wife and I have been here multiple times. The sushi is really great for the area and my wife really enjoys the katsu curry. If you have the time it's worth giving it a try. We've recommended this place to family and friends - and will continue to do so. We visited tonight with the intention to write an honest review. It's a made to order restaurant so things take time and can seem a bit slow. The staff is appologetic and accommodating, especially when they know they've made a mistake. No restaurant or person is perfect. 4 stars is just about right.
