Before visiting from 8.5 hours away, we reached out to locals for suggestions. This sushi place came highly recommended, and we're so glad we gave it a try! The service was very good in addition to the amazing food. :)

What am absolute disrespect of your diner's time. From the time we walked through the door to the time our food arrived was an hour and a half, despite the place only having around 10 tables. Our food was delivered and we didn't see our waitress again for 30 minutes. It took two hours for what I would consider an average dinner outing (no multiple courses. No entertainment, etc).As for the food the Inari appetizer was something I thought I wouldn't like but was actually quite good.I also opted for the Salmon Poke Bowl (pictured) but didn't find it to my liking but I knowingly stepping outside my typical food bubble. I think I would've preferred the tuna bowl better. The final kick in the teeth was we also ordered another bubble tea to go and when the bill arrives we find the to-go version is upgraded to a large for an additional $3, pushing the tea to $9 aka Starbucks prices. If you sit the to-go cup next to the one on your table you'll find a 1oz difference at best. Had they mentioned the cost up front it wouldn't be concerning, it just seemed underhanded to sneak the extra charge on there at the end.All-in-all I won't be returning. It's not the food. It's the service. The food wasn't good enough to warrant a 2 hour 'experience' when there are other similar options less than a block away.Edit: I find it disingenuous to pretend like things 'weren't as bad' by attempting to adjust the focal point of my experience being the long wait. You say 6, and I'll include a picture I took in your bar and shared with a friend at 5:43 the same evening.

Out of date atmosphere, felt like I should have been ordering waffles and coffee, not sushi.Food was okay until I found a hair on 2 separate dishes. Wasn't the best experience.

Everything we had was delicious. Service was fast and friendly. The shrimp tempura and vegetables tempura were the best I've ever had. I even tried a sushi roll with escargot and enjoyed it. My mom enjoyed the hibachi salmon and scallops. Their hot sake is good

Went to order food called and nobody answered. Then proceeded to go to the restaurant and waited by the hostess desk for five minutes and nobody came to the desk. For reference this was on a Saturday at lunch time. Restaurant was

My first time there and I love it! The tempura vegetables were cooked perfectly! I had the California roll and the Spartan roll, both were delicious but the Spartan roll was next level!! Will be going back very soon!

Oxidized lettuce, way too much rice for the nigiri. The fish, particularly the tuna, had a noticeable fish smell. Yes, I know it's fish, but fresh stuff shouldn't smell. Not bad, need some refinements, and it will be better.

Went and visited on a Friday night as it was recommended by a friend. Ordered sushi first. Have never had sushi cooked in tempura batter. Batter was thick and overdone. Sushi alternated between cold and hot depending on the bite. Just not good. Way too much batter. Had teppanaki. Salad had WAY too much dressing, and was just not great. Wonton soup had floaty rice bits that tasted stale. Wonton was underdone and tasted like it was bought at a grocery store and microwaved. My steak was overdone, the noodles were dry, but greasy, like they were reheated. Rice was almost smoky flavored, and not great tasting. Veggies were the only thing that was ok. Even my shrimp was overseasoned and small. Not the worst food, but it's definitely not good.

I have eaten sushi and gyoza here twice now. Both times it has been absolutely fantastic. The pacific rim roll is a dang homerun! Good thing I dont live in Sparta or I would be broke.

Our waitress was very sweet and accommodating. Sushi was delicious and the hibachi was great as well! Nice to have a sushi restaurant nearby that is actually of quality and customer service. We will be back!

I was there Thursday evening and this was not the first time I have been there. Each time I have not had any complaints with my food. I love the crab ragoon suishi roll with the spartan and volcano coming in a close second. Everyone in our group ordered something different and it all looked great and everyone loved the food.
