We stopped at McKenzie Landing on Thursday for supper and had a good time on their patio. My husband had the broiled walleye, our daughter had the beef stroganoff special, and I had the jumbo shrimp. The walleye was good, the special was ok, but the jumbo shrimp were really good, as well as the service! Bit spendy, but worth it!!
We stopped back to visit for a drink and appetizer later Saturday afternoon and that visit didn't go as well. Not sure if would stop again if visit the Spooner area again.

First time here. We are from Nashville, visiting my Sister's family at the cabin on Middle McKenzie Lake. Came Labor Day weekend on Saturday evening. Love music outside. We got a table without a reservation. The waitress, Izzy, was delightful. Soup and salad bar was great. And are dinner was wonderful. Will definitely return on future visit.

Great spot for a nice meal. We had a larger group and they accommodated us perfectly. Group had a variety of meals and most of us did the salad bar! Great server and drinks were made well.

Foid was great and not too expensive. Waitress was awesome, even though she served the entire patio solo. One of the best patio views in the area. Would suggest calling ahead with large groups. Our waitress was great but she was hustling.
Great pan fried fish sandwich
They need doors from the dining room to the bar. It was so noisy because someone was playing and singing in the bar. We could not talk in the dining room.
I expected the food to be overpriced because of the area it’s in and the atmosphere, but it was priced perfectly for this scraggly blue collar bloke to wander by on my lunch break.
I don’t usually work in that area, and no gas stations were convenient to drive to for lunch;
So I took a chance and walked in sweaty and dirty, amongst locals who have expensive homes and boats on the river, and still got great service. The menu was great, too.
I ordered, ate, and left in about the same time as a fast food joint, but got to enjoy my meal while looking out at the river. Hidden gem for sure.
Had the best service and an unexpected Brother and Sister music duo! Thanks Shannon!!
