Excellent choice for Mexican food in the spooner area! They always have great specials!
Order # 8026, Nov 8, 4:14pm Place used to be excellent. Quality has slipped with new owner, try to keep giving them a chance. Table dirty. Ordered 1/2 chicken dinner. Received 1/4 chicken in error, and it was not freshly made. NOT fresh chicken. Salad was lots of items with very little lettuce. Cup of potato soup, $4.99 was a sodium bomb. Re-heated canned corn. $23.45 cash, simply poor value and poor quality.
Awesome food and wonderful service! Definitely going back.

Order online for pickup … I said I wanted 3 steak tacos, the man on the phone said “it’s cheaper to get the meal” I said ok fine but I do not want any sides. Then added 1 additional a la carte taco… as I’m on my way to pick up the taco, I begin to doublecheck in math because that didn’t sound right… online it’s posted “$3.49 per taco or $13.99 for the meal” Basic math tells you that it’s almost 4 dollars more expensive to do the meal…. When I get there, I bring this up and say, “please change the pricing to three à la carte tacos because it is not cheaper” - The man behind the register, short, dark hair, mustache became totally flustered and couldn’t seem to figure out how to change it back. He looked like he finally fixed the issue, and then said “OK. The total is going to be $24.99” … The total at this point without tax would have been a little over $13…. I had to show him the math and asked to see the screen he was looking at, he refused to show me the screen, and instead of pulled out a calculator and began doing the math there. He started typing in “$3.99” per taco (Which is more expensive than the listed price on the menu, obviously this is illegal. It’s called ‘bait & switch’ But it wasn’t going to get that worked up over $.50… He finally was able to do the math on a calculator and got to a similar total. After tax and service charges, I ended up paying $16….. I wanted to be sure to share the story because it does seem like there is some very fishy things going on with pricing. Whether they jacked up the prices on their POS, whether they’re adding additional fees that they don’t want anyone to see, whether they’re up charging orders and telling people they’re saving money… Whatever it is, it’s not right. The man behind the cashier became very frustrated after I brought this up, I also mentioned that the online prices are wrong to which he completely ignored & walked away mid conversation… I get into the car, my order is wrong, the tacos were awful.. very inauthentic, no seasoning, so tough & dry. Probably would have let this go if the food was good but I could not even finish it ..

Very hospitable, food is decent too. We had the hamburger steak. Done as requested, sides left some to be desired. All in all was good. Would skip the crab Rangoon next time

Update - the merge of La Cabana and Nick’s is good. The menu is big but most ingrients have multiple items to work with. I had the fajitas and they were very good. My wife had chicken enchiladas - good but she isn’t a dark meat fan. Maybe have an option? Hayden is an excellent server and the staff was quick to seat and serve. I’ll be going back now. Big portions also.
2017: Hasn't changed in 25 years is how it feels. Food was fair - good fried fish and broasted chicken but needs some updates. No need to go back.

My wife & I ordered the Fajita Quesadillas, hers was steak, mine was chicken. These things are huge, filled up with plenty of both meats! The steak is excellent, not chewy or shredded. Looks like they cut up a sirloin! The chicken was cooked tender! Two thumbs up, and we will be back! Definitely get what you pay for here!

The service was fast and friendly on Wednesday night at 6:00. Chips and salsa came right away and our meals soon after. Excellent taste and very generous portions, enough to take home for lunch tomorrow. Great place!

They do serve a lot of food? We ordered crepes, I asked if it was fresh berries, yes was the answer, it wasn’t and missed half my meal, no discount given. Waitress never came back to see how everything was. Not worth the time!
