This is just a very pleasant bar; it does not serve food. I understand that it used to serve food. It would help if they offered/sold snacks to go along with the drinks.

Wonderful dinner outside recently. Empanadas were delicious as was the fish on Friday night. Good service and wine choices too.

This restaurant was in our hotel. We heard good things and opted to try it out before our theatre performance at APT. The place was full. We were able to get the last table. It's an unusual layout because it serves as a lounge area for the Spring Valley Inn. Very large sofas take up a lot of room, but diners can have drinks in this area. Our waitress took our drink order immediately. We were told the walleye fry was good. It came with two nice sized pieces with a light breading, homemade coleslaw and red potatoes roasted in herbs. It was all done to perfection. The mushroom ragu appetizer also was exceptional. Great flavors and lots of mushrooms. Our food arrived quite promptly, also. Would definitely try them again.

My friend and I went to Pat's place looking for a small bite to eat before heading over to APT. When we walked in, there was a waiter, dressed VERY casually, and a "chef" done up in a chef's coat and hat, etc... Our order was taken very promptly, but then the employees disappeared for a half hour, leaving us totally alone in this strange place. There was no music, nothing. Just awkward silence, and the sound of the beer fridge. The decor is extremely dated, mismatched and shabby. It definitely doesn't say "Italian Restaurant". Our food came out almost a half hour later, and was ok, but underwhelming. Our bruschetta consisted of toasted bread, with a blob of pesto, a couple slices of tomato, and a piece of mozzerella. None of this had been broiled and melted like it should have been. I'm writing this in hopes that the owner sees it and makes some changes. Spring Green is in need of a good Italian place. They have a great location and an interesting space. With a little effort, they could probably have a good thing!
