The sandwich and salad was a good lunch right before going on a tour at Taliesin. The chips were a fun little surprise: a light dusting of curry.

But - oh man - those chairs are weird to sit in.

Claim a window seat if you can.

I really enjoyed dining at this very unique, one of a kind FLW designed restaurant. After a long Taliesin walking tour, I had lunch at Riverview Terrace Cafe. It was raining and the view of the river was relaxing (here in early June). I had an excellent burger and salad. The servers were friendly and attentive. Just looking around at the Wright designed restaurant while eating was so cool!

Delicious salad, generous portion size, very reasonable prices. The river view is fantastic! You order at the counter, and they bring your food to your table. Lots of seating, attentive and friendly server. This was the perfect lunch after my tour of Taliesin.

Contrary to some reviews from about a year ago, this place is in fact open for food service. There is counter service with a very nice lunch menu and super polite staff. The views of the river are incredible and the ambience is what you'd expect from Frank Lloyd Wright. Whether stopping in for a tour or just in the mood for a meal with a view, highly recommend coming here!!

No longer a restaurant. Now it is the visitor's center for Taliesin, Frank Lloyd Wright's estate in the driftless region of southern Wisconsin. The building still retains the incredible atmosphere of Wright's design, now functioning well as a gift shop and gathering place for visitors to Taliesin. The view overlooking the Wisconsin River is amazing.

The food is amazing and when you take a group, like we do, the presentation in a private area is spectacular. You get to look out the window at nature and eat to your heart's content! Love the setting of Taliesin and love the way they make you feel so special. Will be back with more groups again.

This place is closed. They did not survive the pandemic. You can grab a cold sandwich. But no beer. The next place is in Spring Green but many places are closed in Mondays and Tuesday.

To call this a cafe is really incorrect. You can purchase items in the gift shop and sit at the tables. The view is pretty, but the premaid sandwhich was soggy/ inedible, and the scone undercooked leaving your mouth with that raw flour feel. We had a pop and chips too, for a total of 24$. Disappointing to say the least.

Good waitperson, sub-standard food service fare. Ordered Friday fish fry. I was served two small pieces of overcooked deep fried haddock, with okay tartar sauce, coleslaw that tasted three days old, a soulless baked potato, and a deep yellowish cafeteria-style dinner roll. Why was the roll such an odd yellow color? Nice view of the river!

This café is part of the Frank Lloyd Wright visitor center and features locally sourced foods. The day we visited they were only serving grab and go options but we were able to enjoy a really nice cheese and sausage platter. Excellent view of the Wisconsin river makes for a peaceful setting.

Enjoy dining on the terrace. The view of the river is a soothing experience. The food is aways great. Go on a Friday for their all day fish dinner. Waitresses are always a delight.

They offer an awesome range of fresh food. I liked eating here. Employees are always very nice, rates are fair and the spot is always well organised.

Our Taliesen tour ended early afternoon and we opted for a local cheese platter, delicious soup, and superb salad with Fall vegetables. Highly recommend.
