I'm going to preface this by saying I am a larger guy, and I order from this store on Doordash quite a bit. Mostly because I often don't have the energy to make food on my own and I don't always feel good enough to go out in public. Unfortunately today has just underlined why I do this.
I came to this location to get some lunch with my friends before getting groceries for New Year's Eve. When I was making my order they asked for my name. Personally something I'm not fond of in general but it is something you have to deal with in a lot of fast food places nowadays. When I was going to my seat, a manager, a shorter lady with glasses and a ponytail asked if I was "the Saul". Not discreetly, but out in the open in the store, which had about 2-3 groups of other people in it. I understand that my name would come up often when I ordered there, but to directly call me out when I'm there with my friends is completely out of line. She continued in a loud voice saying that I must "order 8 times a week" and she couldn't understand how I could afford to eat there this often.
I'm going to direct this next bit directly to this lady. How dare you publicly call out one of your customers like this. I was mortified and so were my friends. I like to believe people generally have a good sense of people skills in any customer facing job, especially one who has to manage employees. Evidently this was somehow missed when you were considered for this position. The only reason that I didn't walk out just then was because I was there with my friends and I, unlike you, did not want to cause a scene. Afterwards my friends mentioned that you did this to them before, even mentioning when they were out at a concert that you saw and that they're "attached at the hip". That tends to happen when you're dating someone. No one goes to a fast food place to get singled out. We are not friends, we are not acquaintances, we just order food from you. The least we expect is for you to do that in a timely and polite manner, and evidently the least we expect is a bar too high for you.
I know this won't affect the bottom line of this store, but I will no longer order food from you, either by Doordash or in person. That you would think this is acceptable behavior is baffling. I guess you don't have to worry about how I can afford your food any more.

The Turkey bacon ranch sub was very tastie. They one had one register open, and the line was really long. The food prep also took a ridiculous amount of time and was kind of pricey. The portion size was good, and the food was delicious, but I think a little over priced.

I wanted to try their Thanksgiving sub, it was really good. I just wish there was more cranberry sauce on it. The service wasn't spectacular.

Great subs. Clean restrooms and dining area. The person who took our order could have explained things a little better and been a little friendlier. Not that she was rude. She wasn't, just not helpful.

I would love for firehouse sub com to Rhinelander wisconsin area. It's my favorite sub place
Food is very good can't wait till it comes to Weston. We go to Stevens Point very often!
The way they heat their subs is perfect. The bread doesn’t come out hard and stale like other sub places.

While making our sandwiches, an older lady demanded the sandwich maker help her get signed into a register. Then the sandwich maker said,”I’m busy.” The older lady replied, “I don’t care, get over here.” After several minutes, the older lady went back to the back office area, returned a short time later. She again was scolding the sandwich maker in a demeaning manner.

My first visit to Firehouse Subs and I was stoked. I've seen the commercials for a long time but never had the opportunity to eat there. Maybe my expectations were a little too high, and I set myself up for disappointment. For spending almost $13 for a sub chips and soda, I really thought it was sub-standard. Punn intended. I really expected more flavor, I guess. I will go back again to try something different. I had the Hook and Ladder for the sub.
