But the waitress spent more time talking with the other servers at the bar then tending to her tables. The food came out hot but we were almost done with our meal before she checked to see how the meal was. Then we had to wait until awhile for the check. “I was finally able to get to the Rock and Roll Cafe in Stevens Point and it was everything a rock and roll diner should be. Classic rock music playing with a counter and tables with vinyl backs and seats. Even though I walked in the back door, the staff met me and offered a choice of seats. The menu had a wide variety of breakfast options and a page of lunch options. The breakfast options looked amazing. However, since it was already early afternoon, I opted for chicken parmesan sandwich. It was delicious, but I wasn't expecting it to be served on a hamburger bun. While we were eating, the staff brought out fresh baked scones. Looked so good, I ordered one to go. Good food, nice atmosphere, great staff.”

“Edited to update: This place changed hands and reopened. The new staff is AMAZING, very capable and welcoming. Menu is fun and specials rotate often. There is a GF menu and loads of GF baked goods are available, plus the staff has good awareness of celiac disease. We have had absolutely zero less-than-awesome experiences since this place was reopened with new management. We love it here. ---- They have a ton of different servers and they're often not great at serving. Either they're scrambling for just a few tables and you're sitting and waiting a long time, or they're short and rude. I used to be a server so I know good service and the service just kind of lacks here. They charge an immediate 18% gratuity for parties of 4 or more. If you come with your wife and two kids, be prepared to be charged a party gratuity! (I tip really, really well so they're not doing themselves any favors with this.) The menu is great, but occasionally you'll get a plate that isn't amazing. Do not recommend fish tacos. Definitely recommend the gyro or the southwest nachos! They have tons of gluten free options and substitutions but be prepared to pay like $4 more per dish for the gluten free option. Updated from previous review on 2023-04-08”

Literally everything I ate and drank tonight was exquisite and the people who work here are just as sweet as the syrup used to make mocktail. I enjoyed my Smoked Salmon Crepes, Truffle Oysters, Steam Bun, and Grilled Cheese w/ marinara. Molly the bartender is such a lovely human being and so is the chef and other members in the back of the house that I had the pleasure of meeting while sitting at the bar tonight.”

“Reviews were positive for calamari. It did not disappoint! Fresh and tender. The aioli was very good. The pasta was al dente which was perfect for the dishes we had. The staff was attentive and cordial, not pressuring or annoying. Overall wonderful experience. The wife and both had seafood pescatore. She had the Alfredo version and I had the marinara version. Both were great. I’d highly recommend. The only negative was the complimentary bread did not fit the quality of the other ingredients we had.”

Hot slices and relaxed environment make me come back. I really like some of the specialty superslices.”

“You can't go wrong here on a day to go get ice cream. Located right across the street from Skipps Bowling Alley, Veterans Memorial Park, and the Soo Line Steam Locomotive 2713. So there are very many activities and locations within walking distance to safely enjoy your treats. The wait and the service here is always met with a smile and oversized portions. “I was working in the area and decided to grab some pizza. What I like about this place is they sell pizza by the slice. I ordered the pepperoni and the chicken quesadilla pizza. I also got an order of fries. Everything on the pepperoni pizza was balanced just right. The sauce didn’t overpower the cheese and vice versa. The crust-to-sauce ratio was even. The chicken quesadilla pizza was fabulous, and the toppings all worked great together. The fries were good, nothing special, but they are fries. The service here was excellent! I will be back the next time I’m in town”

“I had an online order and went to pick it up and had a stroller with me and as I walked out of the building after picking up my order. I think the manager was probably the one - held the door open for me and my baby I felt like it was really great service. The mac and cheese was served well and timely. “We stopped in for a quick bite between adventures and we were the only ones there. Granted, we went at 2:30 on a Wednesday. The staff was very friendly and helpful and accommodating. Of the Seven of us, six of us were very happy with our food. One of us got what was supposed to be a hot sandwich that was most definitely not. I'd say it's kind of an imitation of Jimmy John's so if you like them, you'll like this. The decor is super cute and the atmosphere is fun and relaxed. The bathrooms were clean and worked and they soda fountain was good. I'd recommend for a quick bite but it wasn't especially unique.”

Ordered the fish taco and 2 Asada burritos combo platter. The food was amazing and reminded me of back home in SoCal. The best food places are the hole in the wall types and this is one of them.The horchata was pretty good as well. The food was fresh and piping hot. Don’t be fooled by the negative reviews. In CA, there are Mexican spots everywhere and this place is on par with them. The negative reviews were probably under old management.”

It's well received by all and without the buns meets gluten free needs! Not a big fan of paying extra for the condiments in cups verses just getting handfuls of packets, but that's the way they have it priced.”

“I've lived in the area my whole life and hadn't toured the brewery until this fall. It is only $7 and you get a free pint glass and four samples. Nice gift store with great Point merch. The tour was great and I couldn't believe how big the building was once we got inside!! We scheduled our tour ahead of time by calling the gift shop and it made the experience seamless. The beer garden had live music and friendly staff. Parking is in the giant lot across the street. A lot of my family in the area hasn't toured the brewery either and I've told every single one of them to check it out. HIGHLY recommend!”
