We were traveling and ate here because we could walk from our hotel. The food was OK. It was nothing bad and it was nothing phenomenal but it was good. The drinks were good and the wait staff was excellent. Jerome was our server and he was friendly, personable and did a great job for us.

Service was slow. Food was not the greatest. Cod was chewy and not flaky. The beef stir fry soup was great! The building itself is beautiful and the history is unique. We loved getting to sit outside on a beautiful evening.

Stopped by for dinner after passing through earlier in the day. Got the NY Strip steak dinner with waffle fries. Steak was a tad salty, but overall good. Service was excellent, and the atmosphere was good, too. Would stop back in next time I am in the area for something else to try.

Sound Advice
We went to Hilltop for the first time in years and were quite disappointed. Two of us the food was fine but my wife and daughter had the chicken flippers and they could not finish them. I tried them and they were terrible. If they served those chicken flippers to an inmate at a prison, they would be like what did I do to deserve this. Do the cooks not taste them? Just bad.
