Dining at the Muse was a highlight of our trip to vacation at SentryWorld Golf. The seating area is intimate, cozy and inviting. The menu features something for everyone and each entree boasted a unique pairing / flavorful accompaniment. Our lamb, pork and spaghetti dishes were excellent. Our party also enjoyed the amazing Lux Eggs for an appetizer and absolutely loved the hand crafted cocktails. There is also an unbelievable wine list available. What puts this lovely restaurant over the top is the exceptional care taken by staff to make your visit memorable. The host was very welcoming and gracious. Our server, Ellen, was simply extraordinary. From the moment we walked in, we felt like we were the only ones in her private dining space. She was attentive, very fun, and an absolute joy to be around. She explained in detail the great menu offerings and specials of the night, highlighting what may be a favorite touch or flavor for patrons. She took great care to make sure our whole evening was very special, from cocktails through dessert. Ellen is a wonderful reflection on Muse and its amazing dining experience. It is an absolute must if you are in the area and we look forward to returning soon.
Stevens Point is fortunate to have a restaurant like Muse. I dined there last week with a group of friends, and it was an excellent experience. The cocktail I ordered at the bar was amazing (made with whipped egg whites), and, when seated, they start you off with an "amusement" (a 'pre' appetizer) that is carefully thought out and elegantly delivered. I specifically requested the Picasso table because I knew it would be a little more private. The sides and entrees were also amazing. I like to swap little tastes with my friends, and I thoroughly enjoyed the salmon I ordered as well as the tastes of mushroom gnocchi and the catch of the day. The six of us split a decadent chocolate tart for dessert, because we couldn't pass it up. Muse doesn't have much competition in our area. If I'm looking for a special dining experience for a night out, I'm bound to pick Muse.
Very quiet and relaxing place
Dinner is always exceptional. Ellen is top notch as your server! A Very pleasant experience!
We loved our experience at Muse. There were a couple things that need addressing like the "cold burrata" appetizer that was outstanding in every way except that the burrata cheese was cold which it should never be, and then the coffee was cold no matter what we tried to do to get hot coffee, and it was also pretty tasteless. For this quality of a restaurant, they should have outstanding coffee and serve it hot. I spoke to the manager about it and he was very nice and took it off our bill. We will definitely go back.
The food was superb. The service was prompt and gracious. The ambiance was outstanding. We were in a room filled with Alexander Calder prints.
It was amazing! The only issue we had was being judged by other customers for where we sat, but it did not bother us at all!
My husband and I ate here for our anniversary this past weekend. I hadn’t been to Muse since it rebranded from @1800 so I was excited to see the changes.
My first impression was the restaurant was fancy and had nice lighting but the seating arrangements were oddly not private at all. I sat across from my husband and had couples a few feet away on either side of us. You could tell there was white noise but it actually made it very hard for me to hear my husband while I could hear the couples on either side of me quite clearly. It was also quite cold.
Service was very good however I understand that it’s all about the experience so from sit down to check we were there for about 2 hours.
We started with drinks and were offered a sample of a new little dish with a cracker, goat cheese and caramelized onions which was so good! We also ordered the special shrimp appetizer and it was certainly the best shrimp we’d ever had. For the mains, we ordered the roasted sweet corn Caesar salad, the elk chop, and the pork pasta. There was a little miscommunication because the salad came out as an appetizer and it was super tiny which ended up being fine because it was nothing special. The pork pasta was bizarre. It was more of a pork soup and basically had zero flavor. The elk chop was amazing and was cooked perfectly. The bread service and mashed potato gratin were also excellent.
We love dessert and though none of the desserts looked good, we ordered the apple coffee cake. I’m not exaggerating when I say this was the most disgusting thing I’ve ever had at a restaurant. Cake was dry and the nutmeg and cinnamon are so overpowering it burned my mouth a little. Honestly a disgrace to desserts and should be taken off the menu. This put a big damper on the entire meal.
Final note-after the first course, I began to feel a little off and I did get fairly sick that evening into the next day. I have a sensitive stomach but I’ve never had issues with high end restaurants.
I’m not against giving this place another chance but I need to emotionally recover from the dessert disappointment so it may be awhile.

One of the best experiences we have had at a restaurant. We don't go out to fancy restaurants often. We went out for our 2 year wedding anniversary and it was absolutely wonderful. My husband and I had such a wonderful time and never felt rushed or like we were waiting forever. It was a great date night and we are hoping to make this a tradition. Thank you Muse for the wonderful experience!
Food was very good. Ambiance on the quiet side. Elk was recommended but not available and we had a mix up on the wine ordered vs brought. Overall staff was enjoyable, engaging and management dealt with the mix ups in a very generous manner. I would go back. If I lived in the area it would certainly be a place I would go for special occasions or a date. Not a place if you are looking for a rowdy time with golf buddies.

called for a reservation during regular business hours. went to voice mail with the general manager. i left a message stating was calling to make a diner reservation. no call back. unacceptable!
I wanted to celebrate my friends 80th birthday with the best upscale restaurant in our area and picked Muse. It was a lovely experience and will come more often. The pineapple sorbet was so good that I'm thinking of going back.
