Staff is absolutely wonderful! Their land is beautiful and well kept. I am more of a wine drinker where my husband is more bourbon so having that option for him was perfect! Great selection of gifts. Highly recommend!
Good wine…..don’t want “sign up” to taste wine. Won’t return.
Added dispenser drinks. You need to know what you are doing or could get charged a lot. Seems strange in a winery
Perfect place! Staff was nice & welcoming. Felt homey & chic. Wine was fantastic. Able to try pours of bourbon & cocktails on tap. Snacks / cheese trays available on site too. Could easily spend several hours here.
Very good wine and bourbon tasting! Little beer and cocktail selection as well. Make your own charcuterie board and taste some great drinks!
Beautiful scenery! Great owners! A fun wine tasting and great mixed drink and beer taps.
I stopped in this winery just to see what they had to offer. We were greeted by the owner and he explained what they all had to offer. This place was incredible! Although I do like wine, they had some bourbon choices and some specialty cocktails as well. Very impressed and I will definitely stop there my next time in the area.
Such a friendly staff! Beer wine and spirits. (Unfortunately the beer machine was broken.)
We love Simon's Creek. We've been coming here for years. From the excellent wines to their new bourbon self pour sampling area, not to mention the live music in the summer months. SCW is a wonderful Door County institution.
The owners are so nice! The wine bartender (Robbie?) was just as friendly. We LOVE the cocktails, it’s a great touch for us. I love wine, my husband is more of a beer/cocktail person so this winery is great for us. Smokey the dog is so friendly and loved having a few bites of my breadsticks. Can’t wait to visit again! Ohhh and the wine is fantastic! Love the Untouchable Red and the Cherry!

My favorite winery in Door County. They don't allow trolleys any more. So it's quiet, and you get a more personal tasting of wines. Employees are so welcoming and helpful.
Welcomed right away from multiple employees 😄they were super helpful & guiding!! Most certainly will be a yearly stop 🍷
Simon Creek is three miles outside of Carlsville down a side country road in beautiful farm country. The atmosphere is nice, though the place is starting to show its age. For example, the driveway is now a washboard gravel road & the bathrooms really need to be refreshed; the wood needs major refinishing. There used to be a vineyard out front when you drove in, but now that's gone.
Their wine is excellent. The Door County Cherry and Untouchable Red wines are unmatched by any other winery. The staff is pretty friendly overall.
The really odd thing they started doing, which really spoiled the visit, is they now require everyone to register and get a pass at the front desk upon entry. The pass is used at every step of the way & is closed when purchasing & checking out. Who wants to have to register & get a pass just to look around, sample their wine, & purchase some wine. Who wants to have every step of the visit tracked? Very weird. A completely different experience from the big winery just down the road in town.
We've visited several times in the past & have never had to register; then it was very casual. We refused to register & were able to buy some wine anonymously, but we weren't able to sample any wine. It was weird enough that I truly doubt we will go back.
Fantastic winery! Great atmosphere, wine, bourbon and very welcoming! 5 stars!
We had a blast with the hostess who gave our tasting. We live in Texas, have our own vineyard, and even though Simon Creek scored their grapes from elsewhere, their American Chardonnay had to be one of the best ever. Their Viogner was awesome. Would definitely visit again and experience what they offer.
