Buck & Honey's - Sun Prairie

Our server Jake was awesome as always as was the rest of the staff. Food was amazing and had a great time.

We had a great experience! The food came out cooked perfectly. Our daughter really likes a certain burger that is apparently only served at lunch- and they were able to accommodate! She was thrilled. Our server, Jake, went above and beyond!

Came for a traditional Friday Night Fish Fry since we were in the area (not many good beer battered cod fish fries in Kentucky). Our waiter Jake was EXCELLENT!! Very attentive but not hovering. Fish was fresh - lightly battered so you can really appreciate the fish. The cheesy hashbrowns were delicious - my husband said her could make a meal just out of those. Good cole slaw. Glad I made reservations as the placed filled up quickly. Sad that I am not in the area as I saw several other dishes going to tables I would like to try. But this will be a go-to place when I ever get back in this area.

Food and service were outstanding but the room we dined in (to the right as you walk in the main entrance) was a bit noisy - lots of hard surfaces so sounds bounced around the room. Definitely recommend Buck & Honey's and will go back but may ask to be seated somewhere else.

Excellent food, generally nice ambiance. Two of us had the pan-fried walleye, one had one had a steak; can't remember what the fourth entrees was. All of us enjoyed them. We shared a spicy tuna appetizer, which was good, but not outstanding. The frozen mud pie was a nice way to end the meal. My only complaint is that we were seated at a table directly adjacent to the bar and the kitchen, which made things more noisy than we would have liked. All in all, a very nice experience. We'll go back again, but be more particular about requesting a table location.

I was at B&H with 5 other ladies- we were together for a college get together- even though we are all in our 50s. We had such a good time- excellent food, attentive and kind servers. We ate inside and ended with lovely music on the patio. We live in Sun Prairie- and love to show our friends the gems like Buck and Honeys.

Buck & Honey's in Sun Prairie is our "Go To" place for guaranteed outstanding food and service! 100% of the staff is amazing, but Beth is our favorite server--she rocks!!

Food and service is always consistent and good. We love the weekly specials and hope some of them make the menu

First time dining here. Great food and atmosphere. On a side note… To a beautiful lady. You were the beautiful woman dining—maybe with your mom—at “a restaurant by the river”. We locked eyes, shared a smile, and you held the door for me as we walked out. I wanted to introduce myself but got a little nervous. When you turned around after walking away, I knew I missed my chance. If you see this, I’d love a second one.

Saturday night - live music outside- had a great waiter was very attentive, fun, funny and normal, had some great patience with questions, punctual, could multi task working multiple tables and not stressed- forget his name but he did great- Food was amazing - had appetizers and Pizza large portions good price, cold drinks, old fashioned and wine and a few local taps- music was fun- lots of family- we were outside but inside was nice and bartenders were equally amazing. Overall 10/10 great job- will be back when in town!

Great place for an enjoyable, comfortable dinner! We were celebrating our anniversary. They put a small Happy Anniversary sign on the table and every employee who came by wished us “Happy Anniversary” with a big smile! Our favorite “go-to” for a casual evening!

Don't go here if you're hungry or want a nice ambiance. We had a reservation for 5:15. But we didn't get seated until 6:00. We were famished so ordered our food right away. At 7:00 we still had not received our dinner. I had to go up to the host to let her know. Otherwise, we'd probably still be sitting there When the food came out, two of our dishes were too salty to eat. They comped us the two salty dinners but it was a bummer that two of our party members couldn't eat their meals especially after waiting so long. We won't return here.

it was grad day and prom, so we expected it to be crazy. Food took a long time but our server was great about it. Food was very good. I would return on another day when it's not so busy.

We chose Buck and Honey's for a graduation celebration after reading the positive reviews and looking at the menu, which seemed like it had something for everyone. What a disappointment! Our server, who did not introduce herself, oozed disinterest and seemed distracted/forgetful, having to leave the table before even taking our drink order so she could check what the specials were for the day. The graduate and I both ordered the prime rib special and it came to the table lukewarm and raw (we ordered them medium rare). She sent hers back and then we had to inquire about her meal coming back after waiting about 10 minutes while everyone else at the table ate their meal. There was no apology from our server, who brought us steak knives only after I was done with my meal, using a butter knife to cut my undercooked prime rib. The only person at our table that was happy with their meal was our son, who ordered a pizza off the kids menu. But the mac and cheese that he ordered as a side was cold, he took one bite and left the rest which is unheard of for this kid! I understand things were busy on graduation day and am usually understanding and supportive of the service industry, having worked in it myself for many years...but the absolute lack of care from our server and the kitchen was unacceptable. I never leave a tip below 20%, especially in this economy, and I'm sorry to say I did this time. Buck and Honey's, do better. If you are going to charge this much for a meal, you should make sure your staff is reaching the bar that is set for that price! This was a poor experience, especially considering our reason for celebration. We will not be back.
