Firehouse Subs Sun Prairie on Grand

Waited 3 mins to get someone to stop cutting bread and washing dishes to take our order. Then 20 mins to get 2 small snadwhiches. Mind you only one other customer in the store and they had their food already. Then had to ask for silverware and never got it. I will never go back to this location. I’m in the the store at this very moment of writing this review. Awful!!!

So nice to walk into a place and be greeted with a friendly hello. So polite and kind.

Was over 80 degrees in the place. Took over 30 mins to make 2 subs. People standing around. Not a single happy customer. Then finally call the order and it's wrong. Didn't even make anything remotely close as to what was ordered. Took then another 10 mins to remake the correct sub.

This was hands down worst experience I have had in a long time. Spent over 45 mins here just for two subs. What a joke.

Brisket subs were amazing but took over 15 minutes to make after ordering 2 subs and it was not that busy. No "sorry for the wait" either. They finally started warning customers it would be a 25 minute wait and they started walked out.

Favorite location in the area, always consistent and great!

Waited for 25 minutes to get food for two subs that were a hook and ladders. And less than ten people on there. Five people working, three people on their phones. Absolutely ridiculous. Will not be back.

We've ordered a company lunch from here a half-dozen times over the past few years, usually 12-14 subs. Today it was only 8 subs and we put the order in at 10:06am for a delivery at 11:45am. At 11:41am they cancelled the order with zero explanation given and zero willingness to make the order. That'll be our last order we make here!

I ordered a sub cold and they made it hot. I explained to cashier I ordered it cold, and he told me it was made exactly as I ordered, and the only way to get a new one was to ring me up again.

It wasn't good as it looked

Pictured here is either the Owner, Store Manager or District Manager. I walked by this person to the pop machine 6 different times trying to get some eye contact. Just to see if I could get some type of attention. Okay, so you are busy. I get it. I guess. Right in front of him is the pop machine that the ice dispenser switch is not functioning properly. It does not shut off. At least 20 different people panicked while the ice kept coming out. You have to manually shut it off like jiggling a broken toilet handle. I do not like that crap at all. You can see it happening. Look up. You can hear the ice dropping by the buckets. Oh well. Your store. What do I care.

Decent food, poor customer service. It took us 30 minutes to get our order of 2 sandwiches. It was busy but most folks in the restaurant already had food on the table so I don't know what the additional wait was even for.

The person taking our order did not offer a gluten free option. Upon discovering there was a GF option my partner was told they would have to pay for another sandwich because theirs was 'already made' when it took at least 10 additional minutes to get our order after that. The icing on the cake was that the sandwiches were cold when we got them.

I can understand a wait for a busy lunch hour, but all things considered just a poor overall experience. Take your money elsewhere.
