Guimo's Mexican Restaurant

Guimos has some of the best, authentic Mexican food in the area. Loved them in the old space, but their new space on Main Street is even better for dine-in. We've been enjoying Guimos for years and would recommend to anyone who's looking for great Mexican food!

They have the best burritos ever I got it and it was the most magical burrito I’ve ever eaten

They catered my son's graduation party and did a fantastic job! People got to choose from steak or chicken tacos, burritos, or quesadillas fresh off the grill. It smelled and tasted amazing!

We had Guimo’s cater a private event and the whole experience was excellent. They were very responsive during the planning process, ensuring that the menu was exactly what we wanted and accommodating different dietary preferences. They worked with our budget and pricing was very reasonable. The delivery and set up of the food was punctual and professional and made preparation very easy for us. And, of course, the food was fantastic—so many guests loved it and asked where it was from!

I had 2 steak tacos and one El Pastor taco with beans and rice. It was the Street tacos dinner. I tried the steak taco first. The flavor was OK. Unfortunately, I had to pull out a couple of pieces of gristle. When I looked at the meat a little closer on the second taco, the beef had no caramelization. I didn’t try the El Pastor taco, so I can’t give any insight. The beans and rice were pretty good. The complimentary chips and salsa were excellent. The service was great and the restaurant was nice.
I have to be honest with my reviews. I don’t like giving negative feedback. However, I feel like changes happen this way. I’m hoping next time things will be different.

You really should consider coming here, as I’m a native of Sun Prairie myself, and they do such a good job of making excellent Mexican cuisine, especially in Sun Prairie. This is probably the best Mexican restaurant in Sun Prairie, and if you’re in the Madison area and stop by Sun Prairie, you gotta come here.

We recently catered from Guimos for a party of about 75 people and the food was excellent everyone at the party loved it but also the service and picking up the food was just great. They gave us all the necessary, utensils, etc. which made set up of our taco bar easy and the communication with Gustavo was top level professionalism highly recommend them.

Hibiscus tea is amazing here. Had wings and the wet burrito. Both came out extremely fast, servers were very attentive and on point. Would definitely come back again!
