The service here is annoyingly inconsistent, with frequent small mistakes like wrong drinks or long waits—so common they’ve become expected. When it’s not one thing, it’s another. We came back because the food is decent for the price, but it’s not worth it when things are forgotten or we get the wrong order entirely. It’s not terrible, but it’s consistently disappointing and not worth the time, especially since we don’t go out often. Unfortunately, we won’t be back.

Have always had good food but didn’t receive the entire order for delivery. Shorted 1piece of fish, no answer. Sent email to owner at Sun Prairie place and not even a response.

The service is hit and miss. The omletes are dry and not tasty at all. If you order a $3 cup of coffee, consider yourself lucky to get 1 refill. And that's after waiting serval minutes before they manage to come around and check to see if you want more. The Country Cafe just down the street is far better.

Gus's diner is great. Wonderful atmosphere, great service and fabulous food. This was my first time there. I got the meatloaf. It was very very delicious.

We’ve eaten there several times and we’ve always had great food and service. Today, 10/18, food was good, service was terrible. I had order the senior fish, my wife ordered the senior shrimp. When our food came, we both had the fish. My wife was getting something out of her purse at the time the server brought our food, she didn’t notice before the server had walked away. The server never returned to the table until we were done eating. She never came back to the table to ask if we needed anything or to ask how the food was, she brought us our bill, never said a word. We were billed for a senior shrimp and a senior fish fry. You would think she would have seen the mistake. She then returned a few minutes later to take my cc to pay the bill, again not even asking how the food was , actually never said a word. It will probably be awhile before we return and if it happens to be the same server, we’ll leave. Just to make it clear, only complaint is directed at the server.

Got seated fairly quickly and service was quick. However the food we ordered was a huge disappointment. We ordered the chopped steak for breakfast thinking we would get chopped steak for breakfast thinking it’ll be chopped or cubed steak. Instead we got a burger patty that was char boiled. I think it should be included in the description that you’ll get a beef patty instead of chopped steak. Way to false advertise. And there was sooo much flys in the facility.
