Went to this location for dinner tonight. Watched while several tables were served before anyone noticed we were sat there. Not the first time this has happened at this location in the past year. We have patronized the other Gritty locations over the last few years with no concerns. One can only conclude standards are slipping in Sun Prairie.

Never had a bad time at this bar. Always fun with fun people. Please put an keep the jalapeño pepper popper burger please 👌🤙

Terrblie customer service waited 30 mins for our check. Ordered chicken tenders and they were all bread and not worth the 15 dollar price will never be coming back again.

We had a group of 24 and Claire, the Event Coordinator, took great care of us. We were set up in a side room. We had two servers and they were both terrific. The food was delicious and everyone was happy with what they ordered. All of the food was hot. We had everything from a children's grilled cheese, to every type of burger, soup, chili and a scrambler. We had people from Oregon, Eagle River, Stevens Point, Madison and Milwaukee. Our group decided this was a good gathering place and we would definitely visit the Sun Prairie Nitty Gritty again. Thank you for making our gathering extra special.

As a celiac, I really appreciate that the Nitty Gritty has a separate fryer and offers a decent gluten free bun for burgers. My favorite is the Black and Blue burger but I also love the garlic burger. Just substitute the crispy onions for regular or fried. Yum! Whenever I am craving a burger, I go to Nitty Gritty.

The drinks are also priced decently and made well. Get the double - it's worth it!

Service was pretty slow for the amount of people in the restaurant. Drinks took a long time but the food was a bit quicker. Garlic parm wings were tasty. The nachos were good and a nice large order. The Italian sandwich was good.

I want to start this review saying that I sure hope the manager that's Not Steven doesn't treat the employees like he treated us. We were headed to our hotel when other hockey team members called and said they were headed to Nitty-gritty to eat. We had seen the ads at the hockey rink and turned around and were the first ones there. I walked in and Not Steven asked how many. I explained I thought about 20-25 from our team were coming. He told us that he could not accommodate all of us in one area, that he had several teams coming in that had set reservations. He told us we should have made reservations months ago and made us feel like a complete inconvenience. I had never been to Sun Prairie and wouldn't have any idea of that. We waited for our friends and eventually Steven moved us together, after Not Steven seemed to go out of his way to spread us across the whole building. I'm so glad that we did not just leave due to the way we were treated by Not Steven. Our server was Joe I believe. He was attentive and polite and did a wonderful job. Honestly all the other staff seemed happy to be there and seemed to enjoy working there. The food was fast, tasted wonderful, and was very well put together. We ordered a few different things. The nachos had great ground meat that wasn't greasy gross. The flatbread was well made. Everything else was great also. The price for the plate size was good also. It's a shame that my first and lasting impression is of how inconvenient we were to Not Steven. I do want to note that, while we were there, I never saw any part of any of the other teams there. There did seem to be a small gathering of adults at one time but no other teams. I truly hope the manager doesn't treat his amazing team the way he treated new customers. Also, Steven was wonderful and was very welcoming.

On December 17th I came to Nitty-Gtitty in Sun Prairie.(should have went downtown Madison) to celebrate my nephew 21st Birthday. This was the worst experience and I service ever had.. My nephew didn’t get the Nitty-Gritty birthday experience (One of the things they are know for been too plenty) I made sure I open a tab. Thinking the bar tender (who also works at another bar) would understand don’t go far we got an open tab .We only had one shot I went to change the music. There was a sign that said ask the bartender, which I did he left never came back until 3 white men came up. He walk right passed us without even ask if we needed anything. Went to the white guys laughing ,hee-hee with them. The disrespect was real. I will never do business here again. (The sad part is I am a big tipper because I used to be a server.) He didn’t get a tip poor, poor, poor service if I could give 0 stars I would.

Very good burgers and service. Our hockey team of 12 players plus parents and siblings were in town for a tournament. The restraunt was able to get us in and sat us at a large tables next to each other. We had great service, the food was unbelievably, and they treated the kids great. Thanks. If we are back in the area next season, we will definitely come back here.

We went for my triplets 4th bday and had the best time. The staff were amazing and so nice & helpful. Our waitress went above and beyond to make our experience go well and it did. Food was good and the kids had a great time. Definitely glad we chose to celebrate here.
