Tipsy Cow Sun Prairie

The food, service, and atmosphere here is excellent. I’ve been here before and they have some of the best cheese curds I’ve ever had. We also got their sour cream and chive fries which were good but I’d recommend their truffle fries over these ones. I ordered the steak tacos and they were very well seasoned and delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant and I will definitely come back again.

Tried this on a recommendation for their burgers, went with the Tipsy Burger. The beef was insanely flavorful and juicy. The Nueskes bacon was great as expected. Not a huge fan of having to order fries/tots/etc as a side given the prices, but not much I could have done about that. Over all would recommend and would visit again.

The taste and freshness is top tier. You will have a little wait to be served but the menu is very well rounded and favorable. You won't be disappointed.

Terrible. The service was lack luster. Our waitress did not come and check on us for anything needed until we were completely done with our meal. BUT the worst part was they charged us an extra $3 for kids' drinks. Insane. This charge was not known until the bill came. Granted tIt didn't say drink included on their kids' menu I'll give you that ....but I've never been charged for kids' drinks in Wisconsin at a "family friendly" restaurant. When I asked to speak to a manager, he claimed they discounted their kids' menu items to account for the cost of drinks and that he couldn't do anything about it except talk to ownership. He claimed their kids' menu items were cheaper than other places. I've looked up the dinner prices of kids' menu items at neighboring restaurants (Mooyah... and Monk's are significantly cheaper by almost 50 percent) and surrounding areas. Those restaurants are all cheaper AND INCLUDE A DRINK. I paid $11 for a mediocre burger and fries with chocolate milk for my kiddo. Oh and don't forget the little cup of mandarin oranges. Lone Girl is the equal distance from my house and charges $9.50 for a kid's meal with a drink and much better quality. They will be getting our business over Tipsy Cow any day. I mean they can't even throw in chocolate milk ....

My only complaint is please salt your food. The quality and flavor of each dish is masked by the lack of salt and maybe that is a business decision and a problem that you wish the consumer to solve.

The tipsy cow undoubtedly has the best cheese curds anywhere on the planet. I have had so many and these are lightly breaded and pull apart and give you the best experience and flavor without being heavy and greasy. Although they are not pictured I wish everyone could try these.

The hamburger had such high quality meat with a good sear. But again, in my first bite I could tell that the beef was simply not seasoned or salted. A McDonald's patty has more salt that what you put on. Rather, the bite left me wanting so much more because without salt the beef flavor is not present. So, I simply had to take apart my burger and put salt on it and it completely saved it and all the flavors came out and together. It was one of the best I've had if you could salt it.

Same with the fries. Shake some salt on there and it was immediately better in every way.

Otherwise great place, everyone should visit - just ask for a salt shaker.

Parking: A couple of shared parking lots in front of several restaurants & businesses. Limited spaces albeit we found parking on a weekday lunch at 1 pm.

Hosts were great, seated quickly, only to wait 20+ minutes for no water or server to even look at our table. Heard another table complain during their meal, kids had no drinks. Looked like lots of workers by the bar but no one cares about the restaurant side.

As of this writing it's my favorite spot in the area to grab some amazing food and have a beer followed by an old fashioned during dinner. I can see how not every menu item they serve may be "the best in town" but I continuously get the steak sandwich, buffalo chicken sandwich, or friday fish fry with blue cheese bacon fries and it never disappoints. Goat cheese curds and alligator bites are a twist that I'm personally a huge fan of. I'm always trying to go more often so I can try new things but getting away from my favorites is tough. Always friendly wait staff and always an enjoyable experience.

First time here...ordered a patty melt. It came out quick. .but couldn't even tell what it was. One piece of bread upside down, a small piece of beef on one side. Then an even smaller piece of beef off to the side. It looked nothing like a burger. It would take a plate, fork and knife to eat, so I just asked for a to go box. Extremely disappointed. I'm sorry I can't post the picture of the mess

One of the best burgers in town. Super messy, but so worth it! Fries are an extra cost but the burgers are so good it makes up for it. The aoili and sauces on the burgers are top notch.
