Best pizza in the tri state area. Been going here for years and they haven't changed a thing about the quality of their pizzas (which is exactly how it should be)

Visited Thirsty Pagan years ago and absolutely loved every bit of it, especially the rugby history and pizza. In Superior for a cabin weekend with my rugby team so had to drop in for dinner on our way into town.
Could not have been happier with our evening. Steve, the owner, heard wind we played rugby and gave us a personal tour of all the rugby memorabilia. What an absolute joy to hear the history of Duluth Women’s Rugby Club (and I guess the men too).
Pizza is Detroit style-esque and soo tasty. We had their supreme type and Mediterranean and I can’t wait to finish our leftovers. Salads, beer, and brownies were also amazing.
Service was superb even before the rugby connection was found- same as I experienced years ago. And Steve was so sweet to give us a discount on drinks.
So glad I came back. Definitely making it a stop on all my Duluth/Superior trips going forward.
Thanks Steve and staff for a night we won’t forget!

We moved to this area about 7 years ago in a Uhaul. After moving our stuff into storage, the first place we found to eat was Thirsty Pagan. It has been our comfort food/drink go to ever since. Always a unique pizza special to try, live music and fantastic brewed on-site beers.

The best brewery in the North Shore. Sure, Duluth has some good ones but Superior holds the best hidden gem.

Food is out of this world. I particularly love the stuffed mushrooms to start things off. They're garlicy, cheesey, the bread is perfection. You absolutely can't go wrong with one of their pizzas. With a regular menu and different specialties every couple weeks, there's always something new to try. Their combinations are extraordinary! I've had many, am sharing pics of a handful of my favorites.

The beer, oh wow the beer!!!! Underated, some of the best brews in the north! Especially live the Burntwood Ale.

Service is continually friendly, prompt, and genuinely kind. Great vibes!

The place is cozy, has a great use of space, and very comfortable. Live music OFTEN and it makes dinner even that more enjoyable.

10/10 needs to be on your foodie and beer list when visiting the North Shore of Minnesota or northwest Wisconsin.

Came for the beer, stayed for the pizza, which was fantastic! Waitress was super attentive, live music was not too loud. Will be back soon!

We had planned our evening, and had driven 10 miles from Duluth, to listen to Lydia Boyum perform. It was the only reason we made the trip to Superior. I even verified on their website before leaving that she was performing. Well, she wasn't there. The performer was good, but was not who we came to see. Please make more effort to follow through on your advertised venue. There are those of us who rely on trustworthy information.

Absolute GAS pizza! Twas incredible and I was stuffed when it was all said and done. The beers were also top notch. Service was a little slow this Friday night, but hey maybe it was one of those nights. Otherwise in the wise words of pitbull, I was feeling this moment.

Update: 9/26/25
Server did not serve us ... Saw her at first but didn't see her a again until she came with the bill. She said hi at the beginning and didn't come back to take our order. We got someone else to take it finally, then someone else brought our food. No drink refills...she did not check on us once. I will say that the gluten free pizza was done well this time, not all soggy. But then it was time for the check and that is when we saw her again. Less impressed than last time. Music very loud at times...no way could you hear the person across the table talking you. Only thing gluten free was the pizza.

Staff was confused. Ordered a large pizza and they came out with a personal pan to feed everyone. Gluten free pizza was soggy in the middle and the stick a cup of marinara in the middle tit... smashing the soggy middle of it. Only 3 toppings on the gf pizza so don't think you can order one of their normal pizzas on a gf crust. The regular pizza eventually appeared at the table and was also not great a train goes by very close to the restaurant which makes the place rumble. Live music most days. Saxophone was the day we were there and it was obnoxiously loud. Not my favorite place... but it would have been better if they'd not taken so long to get the right food out.

This place really sucks ever since they fired my favorite employees. They have lost my business forever!
