My husband and I chose Wissota for a Date Night and I was really looking forward to it, but my meal was disappointing. I ordered the Pan Roasted Chilean Sea Bass with orange basil beurre blanc—the orange flavor and flour crust completely overwhelmed the delicate fish, and it was tough rather than tender, so I didn’t finish it.

I also ordered the Galaxy Lemonade, but they couldn’t open the McQueen and the Violet Fog gin and substituted Tanqueray instead. What I got was basically a simple gin lemonade, not a special cocktail.

My husband’s ribeye was fine (a bit fatty, but that’s the risk with a ribeye), and the garlic chive whipped potatoes were okay but a little greasy.

Our server was friendly but didn’t check on our meals until we were well into eating, so there wasn’t much chance to fix anything.

The atmosphere was nice, but overall the experience didn’t live up to what I’d hoped for our night out—especially given the price and the promise of an elevated experience.

Service was wonderful! Our server was one of the best I have ever had. Food was a bit pricey, but we knew that before going & were okay, however once we tasted the food we realized it was a bit expensive. We got the alligator appetizer & it was good. The scallops had no sear on them though the sauce made up for that! The steak was slightly under done, but again the peppercorn crust made up for that! The brussel sprouts were under done & not very hot so we did not eat much.

Good food and drink. Between 4-6pm, there is a happy hour time. Half price to draft beers and wine glasses, $1 off from sharable and bottled beers. Overall the quality of everything was in a great level. The only complaint was the burger’s bleu cheese and bacon melted on burger’s patty was a bit too salty, I guess that’s the nature of bleu cheese.

First timers, we didn’t have a reservation but didn’t need one on a Tuesday night. Food was amazing! Between two of us we had, truffle mac&cheese, truffle fries, New York strip and lobster tails. Everything was cooked to perfection. Our waitress Heather was great, very friendly and always made sure we were doing okay, but didn’t interrupt us while we were eating, which was nice. We will definitely be back to try more options off the menu.

Heather our server was absolutely delightful! So professional and personable. Every moment from when we arrived to when we departed was perfection. Lovely ambience, fabulous cocktails, heavenly food, and once again stellar service from Heather. Thank you! I'll be back and will tell my friends too!

Another amazing gem of a great restaurant (I believe attached to a hotel/hotel complex)
The staff were super professional, kind, helpful and friendly.
Loved having dinner with ma wife. Another of our dinner dates!
I personally enjoyed the alligator appetizer (alligator meat from Florida)
A perfect medium rare sirloin! Wife went for Sea Bass. It was delicious too (I had a bite 😂)
Will definitely recommend this gem in Superior, WI our stone throw away city over the lake!
They also have some vegetarian options.

It was just ok. Nice place to eat, a little Crowded feeling. I feel the service would normally be better however we had a new server and didn't quite know the routine just yet. Stay with it, you'll be ok. The food was actually pretty decent, so I would give it another chance.

What a surprise to find this gem in Superior. Great food and friendly service! My filet was perfectly prepared, and my husband's Alfredo with Cajun Shrimp was creamy and flavorful.

We made a reservation a week prior so we could celebrate our 16th year anniversary. Got a call 1 hour and 10 mins before we were to arrive stating they are unexpectedly closed for the night. We even had a 40 minute drive to get there. So last minute and trying to find a second option on a Saturday night was difficult. Disappointing...

We had an incredible dinner at Wissota Chophouse. From start to finish, everything was top-notch. Our server, Heather, was outstanding, professional, friendly, and truly made us feel welcome. Her exceptional service elevated our night from a great meal to an unforgettable event.

The crab cakes were a perfect starter. They were crispy and flavorful. My entrée was the swordfish special, which was beautifully prepared. I also tried some of my Fiancé’s bolognese pasta, which was rich and satisfying. We ended with the raspberry tiramisu, which was a light, very tasty, twist on a classic.

Drinks were also a highlight. My old fashioned was perfectly balanced to my preference. The espresso martini was bold and smooth.

What also stood out, beyond the exceptional service and food, was the value. Compared to similar restaurants in the Twin Ports area, the prices are very reasonable for the quality and atmosphere.

Highly recommend and can’t wait to go back!

We were at Wissota 8/29. Spontaneous date night with my fiance. He’s really good at finding cool spots. The atmosphere was very inviting & intimate. We didn’t have reservations but it was after 6pm on a Thursday so we got a spot right away.

The host seated us with Heather who is fricken awesome!! For starters we ordered an old fashion and espresso martini which was absolutely amazing! The bread & butter with charcoal pepper and himalayan salt was unlike anywhere I’ve ever been before.

We ordered crab cakes for the appetizer which were delicious and aesthetically pleasing. I ordered the bolognese and he got the swordfish special of the day. Both flavorful, fresh, and satisfying. He ate his all gone and I had lunch for the next day.

Then of course dessert… raspberry tiramisu. YUM! Heather was very knowledgeable about the menu and gave us her best recommendations from start to finish. She was personable, friendly, and made sure we were taken care of and pleased with our experience! Her service was exceptional, attentive, and flawless. I could tell she genuinely loves her job and the patrons she serves.

Wissota Chop House is a gem. We had an exceptional dining experience! We will be back!

The food was amazing and the drinks were really well made, but the service was hands down the worst I’ve ever experienced. It was so bad that I’m leaving my very first review.
Our server, Heather, showed up looking completely disheveled, like she hadn’t even bothered to comb her hair. On top of that, she was coughing and hacking up phlegm the entire time. My wife and her friend literally couldn’t finish their meals because Heather was coughing directly over our plates. It was not only disgusting but also incredibly unhygienic, especially in a restaurant that charges premium prices.
We expect Wissota Chophouse service to match the quality of the food and drinks, but Heather wouldn’t be fit to work at a fast food restaurant, let alone here. Management should be embarrassed to allow someone in that condition to interact with customers, let alone serve food.
We will NOT be back to any Wissota Chophouse location until the front-of-house staff meet the same standards as the kitchen.
