Went on a drive through the countryside and found this wonderful spot for some brunch! Excellent food, friendly staff, and really nice hometown mom n' pop atmosphere. Definitely will be back and highly recommend to other rural explorers!

Amazing!! Excellent mushroom Swiss burger, breakfast skillet, hashbrowns, kids’ menu, and service! Sunday 1:30pm. Busy with a full restaurant of what appeared to be mostly locals. That’s a great sign, after 60+ years of business. My husband, our young kids, annd I were halfway through our 7hr drive and it was the perfect stop.

This place is really an iconic landmark. It’s been there as long as I remember, and I ate there off and on for over 40 years in the last 35 years that I’ve been down in Tennessee, every time I’m up in Northern Wisconsin visiting it is an absolute must on my list to go eat at. It’s also nice that they have put up a veterans memorial in Thorpe about a block away from the restaurant, so you can do both. It is worth the experiences you won’t be disappointed.

Food came quickly, Good beef vegtable soup. All other food was not that great. Syrup had an interesting butterscotch flavor. Clean place, fine for a quick stop, but wouldn't go back to. Staff was okay.
