“The cheese is very good. I make charcuterie with Usinger sausage from Milwaukee and the Gouda. Pretty good and it's in the taste that this is how you make cheese and sausage. Very nice to have this so close to home and available when you want it. OH Racine Danish Kringle as well. We are very lucky to have the best of these things in Wisconsin. Thank you.”

“This is a favorite for my wife and I to stop out for a good drink and great food. They have one of the best bloody mary's I've had, and the food is amazing. They have a very wide variety of specialty mixed drinks and a wide variety of domestic and specialty beers. The Italian cuisine is very delicious! (Garlic cheese bombs are a must try) The staff and the owners are awesome as well. Always nice and up for good conversation. If you are in the area and want to try something new or different, I would recommend giving it a try.”

“What a sweet little spot. We were here for a bridal shower in the balcony area. The salads and sandwiches were more elevated than I expected at a little coffee shop in rural Wisconsin. So delicious! We all picked up a drink for the road and were pleased with those as well. The cold foam was a perfect topper to those drinks. We all perused the gift shop area and found the selection so tasteful and classy.”

They have a few cheeses where you can get 5 “Underweight” cheese for $12 with a good variety and definitely bigger than sample size.”

“We were in town visiting family and due to the winter storm, found ourselves with some free time Christmas Day night. Our brother in law suggested we go to Sun Up Again (since they just opened back up afyer a fire took their old building). Not only were they open, they were awesome! Everyone was friendly and what we had planned to be a couple drinks, turned into a great night in a awesome friendly bar. If you find yourself in Thorp, check out Sun up again!”

“We just recently had Mesquite cater our wedding and it was one of the best vendor choices we made! We eat at the restaurant often, but somehow the food for catering tasted even better! We had brisket, pulled pork, stuffed chicken, gouda mac & cheese, vegetables, and au gratin potatoes and every single dish was phenomenal.Many guests told us it was the best food they have ever had at a wedding, and many of our out of town guests asked when they could come visit so that we could go back to Mesquite for dinner.I would absolutely recommend Mesquite for dinner and for all of your catering needs. The food was an 11/10, the owner is very accommodating, and the servers at the wedding did a wonderful job!”

“Our waitress Gracie was the highlight of our experience here. She stopped back 5 times in the short half hour gas and go. The food is average for a family restaurant but it was very fast in arriving at our table. Don't ever let Gracie go, or there is no reason to come back!”

“Supposedly this place is known for its breakfast. But lunch was also very good. Bourbon burger was excellent. Pork chop meal was huge. Generous portions, engaging waitress (Anna). Lots of left over for dinner or a snack tonight. Would be good to offer a few side options instead of straight chips for all meals. Will definitely revisit when in Stanley. Only a couple min off of highway 29.”

“Walking in I got to talk to the wait staff that was at the counter and ready with a smile an speak to the chef. I was concerned because it was 45 minutes till closing time and was assured by both that it wasn't a problem and to relax and enjoy my time there. Best thing I could have heard just walking in and feeling so welcome.”

“This hole in the wall rural restaurant and tavern are good for a solid Americana meal. Along with your typical burgers they offer a build your own pizza menu, and Friday night fish fry. Multiple large TVs feature all the current sporting events, but know that the decor is crude, aged, and rustic. The atmosphere is casual and relaxed with any glamor. The servers and kitchen have never gotten my order wrong, but at peak times are often overwhelmed, so don't expect speed at this family run business.Parking: Gravel lot, so no designated parking spaces. Just set it down where ever you feel you can.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wooden ramp at access the door. Now automatic doors, but I bet if you knocked someone, maybe even another patron would open it for you.”

“Authentic Mexican food is my all time favorite and every since Cantina arrived in Stanley, I couldn't be more Happy. There food is just amazing and delicious. Prices are really good and reasonable. Their service is always amazing and they are very quick without risking quality which is a major plus! When we go there I get excited because I know I'm going to enjoy myself and when Im there I just love being there the ambiance and feeling is warm calming and just makes me never want to leave.”
