“We were in the area and wanted to find a local dish fry on the way. We found Time Flies and we’re NOT disappointed.The atmosphere is local bar and grille type. The decor was a whole lot of clocks on the walls and anywhere else they could put them, lots to look at.Seating was good and tables not too close together.We had the fish fry that also comes with the salad bar. There’s also a Friday night seafood bar. The service and staff so friendly and welcoming. Overall, the food tasted fresh and homemade.The fish was not a heavy batter, which is always a plus. The applesauce was homemade. Amazing!! And the potato pancakes were a risky choice but these were the BEST potato pancakes we’ve ever had. Ever!! So fresh, moist, yet crispy around the edges. Just a slight onion flavor - just perfect. And to top it off - REAL maple syrup, not the corn syrup based.The staff knew we weren’t from the area and shared some of the local upcoming events with us. We were there early in the evening before the big crowd, so were happy to get all that time with them.This place is definitely worth the stop. Other menu items looked good too and reasonably priced. “This is the legendary hole in the wall gas station chicken places you used to see more often. Despite it being a chain, it is a small one. At this particular location they had arcade games inside with plenty of seating, A&W, and a regular gas station all in one building.I ordered the super chicken, and a regular chicken bites meal with fries.Simply fantastic, and everything being restaurant fare, it's definitely priced better than fast food but was very fast with order times.Not stingy about the portions, they also have a self serve station like a fast food establishment.I highly recommend coming here if your a fan of KFC.Kid-friendliness: Arcad games, diy drinks, close to a restroom.”
