Love this place so much!Right off the bike trail in historic downtown Trempealeau, if you’re looking for a come-as-you-are atmosphere with an elevated menu, this is your place! We used to get Broach’s rendition of the famous Walnut burger in Madison, and the original knocked our socks off. Aside from this mainstay, they also offer inventive and seasonal (rotating) items. One we hope to see a return on was the sweet corn creme brulee. I still dream about it!If you love good food, this is your place.

Excellent food and service. We were a group of 9, family and friends gathering for a pre Christmas dinner and really enjoyed Trempealeau Hotel and Restaurant. The atmosphere and setting is very inviting in the historic hotel with photos of bands at the bar who have passed through and played there throughout the years. The service was top-notch especially considering we were a large group with a baby. We started with Walnut Balls as an appetizer which are unique to this restaurant, really good. I had the chicken potpie which was cooked perfectly with a great homemade crust. Others at the table had homemade pizza (their Sunday night special) that was delicious as well as the meatloaf which was served in very generous portions. They even have a vegan dish that my sister enjoyed very much. Great food, great drinks, great service, awesome river views. Can't wait to go back!

This is a historic old hotel/restaurant with views of the river and a nice outdoor area for music guests and folks to eat, drink and amble during warmer weather. The interior has big windows giving a view as well and we could hear the fiddler outside from our table inside.Nothing too impressive as far as food. Not bad, but decent. Big burgers, the fish entrees spendy, not sure about how special it is prepared. Nice old place with space, wood floors and historic photos.

My wife and I love this place, great food and atmosphere. Super cool location with a rich history. Staff is very friendly. Tonight we had their pizza for the first time, which they do on Sundays. Highly recommend.

Love the old, beautiful atmosphere of this hotel/restaurant. We were greeted by a friendly bartender as soon as we walked through the door! Absolutely beautiful views of the lake and barges traveling through. If you're a meat lover, the bangers and mash are totally on point!

We stayed in the willow suite which had a great jacuzzi tub and fireplace. Beautiful view of the river as well. We also had dinner. The walleye platter with golden potatoes was fabulous! The chicken pot pie is one of the best I've had...that crust was flaky and so tender! We also had the Flatbread which was great too! Top this off with delicious fashioneds and amazing service! I can't wait to go back to this hidden gem at the historic Trempeleau hotel!!!!

Cool atmosphere, friendly staff. Came for a music event, got a 1919 root beer on tap in a frosted mug. Very good. Keep in mind there is a $10 minimum for card purchases.
