Stumbled onto this place after having dinner in Antioch this past late December and was pleased with the quality of ice cream here.
But then again it is Chocolate Shoppe which is pretty much the very best ice cream coming from America's dairyland.
I have a tendency to look where it's at on Google Maps instead of following the map while driving and ended up driving passed it knowing something wasn't right.
Saw The Fire Pitt and was thinking maybe it was attached to the restaurant which it was when we got closer. The ice cream is absolutely dee-lish at fair prices with friendly service.
We live pretty far east in Lake County in Beach Park but if ever in the area again with that particular craving, we'll definitely stop back in! Hope for continued boomin' business for the owner(s).

Staff is always great. They always allow my daughters to try a couple flavors (because they never know what to choose). They've got new flavors depending on the season. I like that they've got a kids scoop because the small is a decent portion and more ice cream than my 7 year old can finish.

Theres always these lovely women working and the have some interesting flavors along with classics definitely great for any summer parties they sell pints (allow them time to scoop a pint can be alot) which we always get when guests are over

Ice cream tastes very old, and the portion is tiny. For 9$, I would have expected much more

After dinner one night, we headed over to "The Ice Box" and got some ice cream. We were all happy with the selection they had to offer. My girlfriend got 2 half scoops on a cone and I got 2 scoops in a cup.The service was VERY friendly and quick. It looked like the owner was moving some sort of equipment into that part of the building for an upcoming line dancing event (which we thought sounded like fun).My only gripe was the claw machine wasn't cooperating with me. I put $2 into the machine and it kept dropping the stuffed toys. ;-)

I have been to countless ice cream parlors but this is the best ever! Amazing ice cream with unique delicious flavors and names, along with super friendly service. It’s my three teenage kids’ favorite treat too!

I hope it was an off night for the restaurant. The place was packed, so it must be good usually. Unfortunately, the French onion soup was truly flavorless and the fish was so salty my wife and daughter struggled with eating it. I got the Italian beef and while the first couple bites were fine, I actually spit it out when the 3rd or 4th bite tasted like old meat. Not rotten, but just that bad flavor of meat that's been in a fridge too long. The pricing of it all was fair assuming the food is good. Again, with the amount of business, I have to think they just had a bad night. But, I also can't recommend it based on our experience.
