Norwegian Hollow Hideaway

Great destination spot for lunch on a ride into the Driftless Area.
I tried the Philly Cheese, wasn't bad, but not the real thin sliced steak that seems to be hard to find here in Wisconsin.
Fries had a light, crunchy taste, Jalapeño deep fried curds were excellent, the Mushroom Swiss burger went over well, as did the Pulled Pork.
I'll definitely be back to try more items on the menu, lots of them looked tasty!

This is a good off the beaten path Wisconsin bar. Service was good, atmosphere is standard bar decor and country music in the background. My burger was tasty, done to the right temp. Fries were hot and crispy. My wife’s chicken sandwich was on a really good ciabatta bun that she thought was the perfect way to serve it. Overall a real good place to grab a quick tasty meal.

We have eaten there several times, food and service have been great.

I will definitely comeback to this place. We enjoyed the meal ans everything was good the workers were nice and seems like an easy place to come with kids i really enjoyed everything

Went for dinner tonight with my in-laws (who eat there a few times a week.) First waitress gave us menus, took drink orders and never came back. Walked by us several times not making eye contact. A family came in 20 minutes later and a different waitress walked by and said “we’re out of food tonight.” They left, then the cook said we’re not out of food, we’re just short staffed. We asked the waitress what’s going on? She snapped “we’re out of food!” We said that’s not what the cook said, she responded “We’re drowning and the owner decided to shut down.” My FIL asked if the owner was here - the response was “yes, that’s who’s cooking.” We asked for the check for our drinks - the original waitress brought the check, no apologies, not one word, didn’t wait to take our payment. My FIL asked another waitress what’s the deal tonight? This one was very rude, apologized coldly, and said they’ve been drowning all day and haven’t been able to catch up, so she pulled the plug. At 5:30 pm there were 25 customers in the bar/restaurant and that’s drowning? In a customer service industry, communication is key, good customer contact is important. My in-laws eat there several times a week and the two regular staff people were horribly rude to them tonight. Very disappointing experience tonight.

Service is the only thing they need to improve on. Food was good and pricing was in line.

Best fish fry I've had in years and properly muddled old fashioneds. Plus a beautiful view! Service can be a little slow, but why are you in such a hurry?

Cute little spot, classic Wisconsin bar and grill. The cod basket is their signature dish, beer battered to perfection. The wings, however, left a little to be desired; they were only tossed in a light spritz of BBQ sauce. Still good though. Clean bathrooms, service prompt, go feed the trout in the pond some kibble for ¢25.

Some of the best chicken we’ve had in awhile! Plus, the patio seating was lovely, with nice views. We watched deer run through the field while eating. Staff was friendly and attentive. We will be visiting again!
