Have been going here for years and only had one bad experience a couple weeks ago. Overall this place is awesome. I usually spend between 85 to 130 dollars when there. Yesterday I asked for Mayo for my burger and when I received my check they charged me 25 cents for what amounted to a spoonful of mayo. Is just me or is that just ridiculous after spending good money there?

Visit Date: September 4, 2023New Hope, PA is one of my happy places. Since discovering it in 2021 with a guy I was seeing/turned friend after he ended things I've tried to get back here as much as possible. It's not a bad drive from Long Island. For some people a two to three hour drive is a bit much, but I drive a lot and I'm fine with the drive. So I went back on September 4 with a bunch of friends. I've been here with people and I've come alone. I like doing both. Everyone picked Fran's Pub to eat in so once I parked my car in the usual lot I park in we walked over to the pub. It's an old school/local pub with a lot of seating. I chose to have the BLT. I'm doing slightly better with money now, not great but a little better because I got money refunded for a flight that I cancelled. But during this time I wasn't sure about the flight refund and I was pretty much almost broke. Technically with the amount of debt I have I am pretty broke no matter what until I work to pay it down. The BLT was good, a nice amount of bacon, lettuce, tomato and Mayo. I think the chips they served were homemade. They were amazing about letting us hang out at the pub for a few hours. There was a group of us so maybe because it was a sort of large order they didn't mind. My one friend didn't want to be outside much because it was brutally hot and my other friend has bad knees and doesn't want to walk around. So 3 out of 5 of us in the group stayed in the pub. My other friend and I walked out after leaving our share of money for what we ate to go to Terri's gifts because I like to stop there when I visit New Hope as well. I would recommend this pub for a New Hope Visit.

Chicken tenders were good. Food is decent. Service is efficient. Ambience issss....casual! Not great, not terrible.

I went today for the first time in years and I was absolutely blown away. I ordered mozzarella sticks and a chicken salad sandwich. The mozzarella sticks were fried to perfection and the sandwich was toasted enough but not too much. Food was amazing but the service was even better. Bartender was attentive and very nice. The location is also great with a amazing view of main st.

Food is always solid, always busy but not usually a wait. This particular time, Amy was our server and she was really charismatic.Would come back just to sit with Amy again! Food is great tho-

We came here on the 4th of July right before the firework show so it was pretty busy, but we got our food quickly. I ordered the hot pastrami sandwich and my boyfriend order the hot roast beef sandwich. I loved the pastrami. Beware though of the hot roast beef, they put ALOT of gravy on it, like way too much. We had to get another plate just so the sandwich wasn't drowning in it. The drinks were ok. The outside is nicely set up; the inside is just your typical bar/pub. This place advertises like it's a restaurant but it's more of a nice bar.

If your priority is a casual place to sit outside, grab a beer and people watch, this is your place. Plenty of seating and a bar right along the main road. If, however, you want some decent food...please keep walking. A completely forgettable meal much like our server's relationship with sweetener which we asked for three times. She was, otherwise, very nice and attentive. A disappointing note to an overall fantastic trip to New Hope.

Upgrading my review from several years ago. Had the opportunity to revisit Fran's today and add a star into my original review. Food was better. I had a chicken sandwich/panini and he had a cheese steak. We split some spinach artichoke dip that had me wishing we opted for the wings instead. More of a thick spinach paste. Lacking in flavor, texture and creaminess - but it was fresh. All in all I don't regret popping in to Frans and would have to say that it offers one of the largest outdoor dining in the town but probably will opt for another eatery next time in New Hope.

My boyfriend and I walked past this place a few times and finally, we stopped by one Saturday afternoon. We were seated pretty immediately outdoors on a warm sunny day, felt like we were off to a great start! We got started with some apps - Buffalo wings. Underwhelming, honestly don't remember the taste, might I add that we got the apps a while 45 mins after being seated. I was absolutely heated at this point because I was starving and was served lackluster wings. Our food came and my boyfriend got a burger. It was like a cafeteria burger, not juicy, barely any flavor. I got the Frans chopped salad. Horrific! The chicken add on i asked for tasted like boiled chicken that's been shredded with literally NO seasonings. I was so disappointed, and it's been an hour at this point. I was starving and had to force myself to eat the rest of my meal. Why did it take over an hour for some salad? Couldn't tell ya! Overall, service was slow, food was underwhelming. I will say, if you want to sit down and aren't that hungry and don't care about the food, this might be a good place to just sit down and drink. Don't come here looking forward to the food or service.

Normally I don't write negative reviews but this place was a NO from me. Beer wasn't cold enough and the food was some of the worst food I've ever had. We got fried pickles, cheesesteak egg rolls, pot stickers and pizza. It was NASTY. Pizza was undercooked and tasted like nothing. The fried apps made my stomach hurt and tasted like nothing but fryer oil. That being said it was completely overpriced. Our beer came out in a plastic cup but everyone else around us had a glass pint so I don't know what was up with that. The establishment itself was cute and had a good atmosphere. Our server was attentive and nice. I wouldn't say no, but I 100% wouldn't eat here ever again.

We really enjoyed an afternoon here. It was nice enough to sit outside and the staff was very friendly. We were looking for a bite and some beers just to relax. The pub and the people fit that vibe. Food was good and plentiful, as were the drinks. We'll be back.

I didn't get a chance to dine but I met the workers and they are the coolest! The food looked awesome, but we were just passing through. A beer and off we went. The vibe is excellent for hanging out. Try them out!

We were a large group of women having lunch here prior to a show at the Bucks County playhouse. One of the women from our group was not served with everyone else. We told the waiter twice and twice we were told it be a minute. When we were all finished eating, the waiter brought her meal with curt, "Sorry about that". She asked that her meal be taken off the bill. This was denied by the waiter so she asked for the manager. She was hungry so she started eating and "Manager" stated can't take it off the bill cause you're eating it. She had to eat after everyone else had finished and no compensation was offered. Not even to not charge her for her coffee. Nothing. Very Bad customer service. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone visiting New Hope

My family and I have been coming here since kids were small 12 years and the photos to prove it. Went for our first evening ever. We get there, everyone was nice, we sat at our table, ordered the food, which included 2 pizzas. Then a few minutes later the waitress comes back and said, "the guy that makes the pizza left for the night and didn't tell anyone". I was confused because it was only 6:45pm. And the chef left without telling anyone. Never had that happen before, especially when there where a few hours left until closing. Not gonna knock the business because we love the place. Just think there should always be communication with waiting staff. Especially if it means that entire part of the kitchen is closed, but not scheduled to be. First time for everything right... we'll stick to going on Saturday afternoons.

Extremely disappointed with the food and service. Ordered the nachos to start without olives because i'm allergic and they came out with olives on it. No problem, let the server know and he takes them back. They looked kinda okay but honestly the chips were greasy and soggy, like someone literally just microwaved them and as I was eating them and pulling them apart there was still olives underneath the layers of chips.. I also got a turkey BLT wrap which I couldn't even eat because as I noticed I was eating something I'm allergic to i immediately got nauseous. Safe to say I've been pretty sick all day. Had high hopes for the place but got really let down. 1/10 don't recommend.
