This is probably one of our favorite breakfast spots. This is one of the top five omelettes that I’ve had in the area. It’s very filling and it’s huge for the price that you pay for it, which is also very cheap and their coffee is good. Make sure to bring cash.

Time Out Restaurant in Washburn is a hidden gem for breakfast on the Bayfield Peninsula. No matter if you're coming from the east or west, all roads seem to pass through Washburn—so stopping here is easy and worthwhile. The restaurant itself is unpretentious but full of charm, with a cozy atmosphere that makes you feel right at home. A big part of that welcoming vibe came from the wonderful waitress who took care of us—friendly, attentive, and genuinely kind.
The menu is surprisingly extensive, offering a wide range of classic and customizable breakfast options. Whether you're in the mood for something hearty or light, there’s plenty to choose from. The portions are generous—borderline massive—and the prices are refreshingly affordable. It’s a perfect spot to fuel up before a day of exploring the area.

This is a wonderful gem of a restaurant! We were staying in town for a few days and liked it so much we returned a second time before heading home.

If you want the classic diner breakfast/lunch experience Time Out is worth the stop. The food is reasonably priced and well executed.

It’s cash or check only so be prepared for that.

The restaurant’s air conditioner was not working and there was no sign on the door stating that, so it was a bit uncomfortable eating. Ordered ice water with lemon and glasses came with no ice, the table’s pepper shaker was empty , neighboring table had to ask us for butter, house flys were pesky. Broasted Walleye fish was tasteless except for the fishy taste.

Everything I ever wanted in a breakfast. Great food at a great price with generous portions. I had the Texas toast ham sandwich and it was delicious. We definitely look forward to coming back next time we're back in town.

Small town atmosphere. Service can be good one day and the next day not enough staff, like one person doing everything. People getting up and walking out after 25 minute wait for service to order.
