“Saw the sign on Highway 13 so thought we’d give it a try. The cabin’s residents next door to ours said it was a good pick when we mentioned we were headed there. Told us about the hockey theme. We loved it! We were obviously outsiders but felt welcome. And Sparky couldn’t have been more friendly. Fun fellow to chat about hockey with. And the cod was awesome! Loved the fries. Service top notch. Going there was one of the highlights of our trip - loved it!”

“My wife and I gave this place a try last winter- the drink I had was great! My wife doesn't drink and they charged her $4 for a sparkling water from the tap- no lemon or lime, which was a bit jarring. It was a bit awkward, but we've been told that our experience is NOT the norm. We'll have to give it another try! The patio looks great, the inside is adorable, and again, the drink was great!”

“Great place to stop for a drink or to eat. I did both on Friday night. I ordered the White Fish, fish fry, which came with one giant plate sized piece, a very generous side of fries (delicious), coleslaw, and tartar sauce. The fish was excellent! I also had jalapeño poppers as a side. Bartenders were very nice and friendly, as well as the older lady next to me at the bar, waiting for her takeout. When I go up north, that is the exact place I'm looking for. Thank you!”

“A very small local pub. Extreme 'up North' pub. When in town we always stop here in hope of running into old friends and neighbors. They make good drinks at easy prices. They make limited food, but last time I had a burger it was great! Strike up a conversation with owner/bartenders.”

Kid friendly especially if weather is nice there’s lots of room to run and play outside by their nice patio.”

“Very glad The Snug is open and serving dinner until 9 on a Summer Sunday night. There is so much to fit into a weekend that the restaurants that stop serving at 8 don't fit our schedule. The Snug bartender dealt with a table of five ordering many drinks and dinner with a friendly and expert manner. We had a fantastic time with tasty sandwiches that were just what we were looking for. We'll definitely go back.”

“Ashland Baking Company is hands down the best bakery I’ve ever been to…in the world.No joke.Flaky, buttery layers adorn the croissants and the fruit spreads that bask in the center of each danish appear to have been made from fruits picked at peak harvest.I drive to Ashland just for a flaky, perfectly baked cinnamon roll or a beautiful French baguette. The pecan rolls are so amazing and the sweetness is always balanced so perfectly.I am so impressed with the talents of these bakers and this bakery. It’s rare to find a gem like this one. I travel all over searching for baked goods half as decadent as these.I love that the sugar cookies are actually baked and not those doughy-flour-tasting-clumps with excessive too-sweet frosting all over them.I just left there and I got: 3 cinnamon rolls, 1 pecan roll, a brandy fruit coffee cake, 4 sugar cookies and zero afternoon plans.Highest recommendation of this bakery.”

“It is nice to have a place to go and get coffee on a Sunday morning. I wish the person behind the register was more welcoming and friendly, I bet she normally is, I just came at an awkward moment …probably, but the person making the coffee was friendly. The coffee tasted great. I did wait 10 minutes and there wasn’t a line. I did throw a curve ball with a request for Oat Milk…I don’t know why I ordered oat milk… it’s not real Milk…”
