“Came here a couple years ago while on vacation and we went back the next day for lunch because it was so good. I still think about the lunches years later especially the jalapeño grilled ”
“A luxuriously appointed open air cocktail lounge with outdoor seating, 2 fireplaces, stunningly tasteful decor, 3 star Michelin quality dining, and skilled beverage artists the likes of which I could never have dreamed possible. So if you want to take your special someone to the perfect spot to propose, or a first date with your dream gal, or just meeting the future in-laws for the first time and want to really convey what a fine upstanding gentleman their daughter is currently getting plowed by, definitely bring them here. Also, a mf Cadillac holds up the stage. A CADILLAC, y'all. Not a Bruick, not a Chebby. Talk about razzle dazzle. Gobless.”
“Q & Z's Bakery has the best (and prettiest!) pastries and sweet treats on Madeline Island! Their savory scones are a must, too! They also offer hot coffee and cold beverages beverages to go with their handmade, freshly baked goodies. Enjoy!”
“so it was our first visit to the island and the best and only place to go to is the beach club. we got stranded out here as the last ferry left everyone at the club were over the top helpful and so very kind. A fantastic group of people. we got stuck at a great helpful friendly concerened place. we will be back for sure!!! Thanks so much to everyone here.”
“Did take out from Cafe Seiche last night. Had a fantastic wonderful dinner last night (smoked trout appetizer, steak, trout with polenta, stuffed tomato, panna cotta and key lime) we shared everything. It was fabulous. Thank you for existing and for still being open! Love the take out option. Everything was excellent. Love them.”
“Good food and service. I liked their lake trout. Also, friendly server to my daughter and a nice kid's menu and highchair. They have a nice view of the lake. I would return.Parking: No problem in off season.Kid-friendliness: Friendly staff towards kids and nice menu.”
“What an incredible staff. They make the best chai tea in town. On a deeper level, I love their 'pay it forward' board that allows customers to chip in to buy someone else's drink. What a wonderful, community forward sentiment. Also, the best gluten-free options in town! More places should follow their exceptional lead.Dietary restrictions: Amazing gluten-free options”
“very quick and friendly service, even while it was super busy. Beer battered fish was excellent and the smashburger was excellent. thank you Ben and crew you guys are wonderful”
“We love North Coast! The people who work there are always the nicest, sweetest, and most helpful! Thank you for being open so much and for being so reliably wonderful!”
“Great food, and service with a sweet view of the lake. My only complaint is the music, it’s this horrible light rock cover station they have on repeat. Morning, noon and night it’s this horrible music over and over.”
“My wife and I gave this place a try last winter- the drink I had was great! My wife doesn't drink and they charged her $4 for a sparkling water from the tap- no lemon or lime, which was a bit jarring. It was a bit awkward, but we've been told that our experience is NOT the norm. We'll have to give it another try! The patio looks great, the inside is adorable, and again, the drink was great!”
“Great place to stop for a drink or to eat. I did both on Friday night. I ordered the White Fish, fish fry, which came with one giant plate sized piece, a very generous side of fries (delicious), coleslaw, and tartar sauce. The fish was excellent! I also had jalapeño poppers as a side. Bartenders were very nice and friendly, as well as the older lady next to me at the bar, waiting for her takeout. When I go up north, that is the exact place I'm looking for. Thank you!”
“Our favorite Mexican restaurant around! The queso is sooo good, service is great, prices are very reasonable, they carry Jarritos, the Lucha Libre theme is really fun, and the food in general is always hot and amazing! Thanks for bringing Mexican food to Washburn!Dietary restrictions: They are always happy to swap wheat for corn for us.”
“I’m not a craft beer guy but tried the “Northern Lights” and it was awesome! Bartender also had an extensive collection of vinyl along with a groovy record player. Place was cool!”
“The food is always great here, especially the breakfasts. Try the strawberry pancakes, it's like sunshine on a plate. Service has always been top notch. These people care and it shows.”
“We had a fantastic dinner tonight! Ordered garlic pizza puffs and a pepperoni pizza and Tia amo pizza! All were fabulous and we will definitely go back! Highly recommend Da Lou’s!”
“This place rocks. Great beer, great atmosphere, great staff. I love coming here and love showing it off to visitors!! I can't even begin to describe how cool this place is, you just have to check it out!!”
“My Girlfriend and I traveled to Bayfield for a weekend get away. Looking for places to grab a beer and some food, we found Morty's. The Cajun Crab Dip was a must! Our food was very good too! The atmosphere was so fun, coming from a small town in central mn it really felt like home! Would Highly recommend Morty's for a brew and some food! Thank you!”
“It is nice to have a place to go and get coffee on a Sunday morning. I wish the person behind the register was more welcoming and friendly, I bet she normally is, I just came at an awkward moment …probably, but the person making the coffee was friendly. The coffee tasted great. I did wait 10 minutes and there wasn’t a line. I did throw a curve ball with a request for Oat Milk…I don’t know why I ordered oat milk… it’s not real Milk…”
“A very small local pub. Extreme 'up North' pub. When in town we always stop here in hope of running into old friends and neighbors. They make good drinks at easy prices. They make limited food, but last time I had a burger it was great! Strike up a conversation with owner/bartenders.”
“Very glad The Snug is open and serving dinner until 9 on a Summer Sunday night. There is so much to fit into a weekend that the restaurants that stop serving at 8 don't fit our schedule. The Snug bartender dealt with a table of five ordering many drinks and dinner with a friendly and expert manner. We had a fantastic time with tasty sandwiches that were just what we were looking for. We'll definitely go back.”
“Our food was so good, wish we lived closer. I wish I knew what was in the mustard sauce served with the cornbeef/pulled pork sandwich it was so good. I live in Iowa and no idea how to find something similar.”
“Nice little spot. Clean and nicely remodeled. Old fisherman bar. One of Bayfield’s few taverns. Let’s keep it alive! Darts, pool table and regional craft beer on tap.”
“Great place to eat al fresco; when you're lucky, you'll get a table near the reeling overlooking the lake and Madeline Island. Food is decent American fare, service is friendly.”
“I had a Apple fritter sandwich with pulled pork and jam, that was huge and great tasting. The bread was slightly burnt looking, but it didn’t affect the taste. Fries were excellent. My wife had the cranberry bread with Turkey and was very satisfied it came with sweet potatoes ”
“Annual Bayfield visitors who had our first visit to Portside on Saturday and it will be followed by many more. Our Waiter Jim was top notch and made our visit awesome! Beautiful view, excellent food, fun family birthday celebration=Priceless memorys”
“After the Apostle Island Grand Tour, I called here on a whim. They had an opening and offered parking, right there you save $20 during Apple Fest! It was a special meal in a memorable place. I'll never forget it.”
