I had a really strange interaction today that I hope isn’t the new norm. I took my daughter into the shop today to pick out a valentines treat for her brother. It was the middle of the afternoon and it was just us and the lady behind the counter. She asked if we needed help while we were browsing, so she seemed helpful. My daughter ended up choose a $.95 chocolate and a few other things along with a few things I chose. Unfortunately, she accidentally dropped the $.95 chocolate and it broke. I motioned for her to grab a new one since it was a shape and she mistakenly left the broken one in the box. I immediately grabbed it and showed the lady that she dropped it and she snapped at my daughter and told her not to do things like that and proceeded to flat out ignore everything my daughter said. She wouldn't even look at her when she was CLEARLY being spoken to. I paid my $25+ for a tiny amount of things and left. So awkward. I want to support local and have recommended Allo Chocolate to many friends in the past. What a weird way to treat a child that made a mistake, apologized and attempted innocent conversation.

The smell of chocolate and the staff make the place the best place to visit when you come downtown. The truffles the mint or carmal one s are the best with dark chocolate. Highly recommend the place to vist.

I wish I could give this place a million stars! What a fantastic candy shop. There is so much to choose from. Beautiful hand made truffles, chocolate barks in many flavors, retro candies, fun new freeze dried items, and even ice cream! They staff were so fun and friendly. I absolutely loved the chocolate boxes you can fill with anything from truffles to M&M's. Perfect for any occasion. They have many holiday themed candy and chocolate items so get over there for Valentine's Day.Parking: We came on a busy Saturday with the indoor farmer's market going on just down the the block, so parking was a little diffucult. We found a disabled spot not too far away.Kid-friendliness: It's a candy store! Kids of all ages will LOVE it!Wheelchair accessibility: Single door entryway that is wheelchair friendly. Store is open enough that you can get around to everything without the worry of knocking things over.
Came here searching for freeze dried candy which they do have,(a whole section of it!) and ended up getting some chocolate pretzels too, and they were delicious. We all got a chocolate treat they were so creamy and good.
