Had dinner with friends. Food and service were both excellent. Had three different fish fries and everyone said they would definitely have them again. Walleye was particularly good. Will definitely be back.

Had very good patty melt and upgraded side to haystack onions. Will go back for sure. The deep fried cheese curds were really outstanding, crispy thin coating and very nice cheese pull inside. Service was super friendly and our waitress was very efficient dealing with multiple tables and cleanup.

We stopped by looking to try some local options and the food and service were great. Our meals were reasonably priced and delicious and our waitress was very friendly and welcoming.

Great Fish Fry Find! We have been looking for a place with hand breaded shrimp- and I stumbled upon a picture on Google of their shrimp basket! So we had to try it. It was amazing. We will be back to try more on their menu for sure!
Also Really good sweet potato fries and Mozzarella Wraps!
We had a very nice & attentive waitress as well. Every waitress & waiter seemed to help each other- which was really nice to see!

Back for our 55th Carrol University reunion-great lunch and Bloody Mary at Red Rooster with friends from Texas, California, Pennsylvania and Illinois. Owner personally visited our table!

Food is fantastic. Fish fry is great, service is quick and friendly. Strongly recommend all potato varieties. If you want a classic wisconsin fish fry experience, you cant go wrong here.
One note- as of September 2025,
Don't bother ordering a mixed drink if it isnt an old fashioned or a bloody mary. Bartender waters down or something every drink. Even bourbon w 2 ice cubes was heinous bad.

I have gone to the Red Rooster for years. They have very good food and very nice staff. There is no ambience. There is an outdoor patio. My friends went for 2 dollar tacos on Tuesday. They said they are way better and way bigger than 2 other places. They are going to Red Rooster from now on.
