Ordered delivery from Door Dash. Excellent meal. Sesame Chicken was delicious and real breaded chicken with a delightful sauce. Combo Lo Mein dish was spectacular! Tasty thin pan fried noodles with a light and tasty sauce loaded with beef, chicken, shrimp and vegetables. Everything was fresh and crispy. This is authentic and made from scratch and not frozen food service Chinese. Most likely one of the best Chinese meals I've had. Just moved here and will be my go to for Chinese Food.

Golden gate Chinese restaurant is FANTASTIC. Best Chinese food around. Made fresh, and authentic. The Moy family continues to do a wonderful job with their restaurant!

We come to this center to enjoy the food at the Golden Gate Restaurant. This Chinese restaurant serves very delicious and high quality food. It is a family owned business, and the owner is very nice and very friendly. I have eaten at the buffet with my son, and we have also ordered take out food. The food is always hot, fresh and delicious! Chicken Kow, sesame chicken and broccoli, orange chicken and the shrimp are all very delicious. I have tried other food items here, and I enjoyed all of them. There is lots of parking, and I highly recommend a visit to the Golden Gate Restaurant. There are also other shops in this center to enjoy. There is the Waukesha Antique Mall, Jo Mar Flowers, the Golden Salon, Kids Fashion, Lotus Massage Therapy, Farmers Insurance and a few others. I hope this review helps you to enjoy this Center.

Best Mia Tai drinks every! The ones I had in Hawaii couldn't compare. And the food is delicious. I'm active duty military and I look forward to coming home on leave every time and eating at the best Chinese restaurant in Wisconsin, Golden Gate Restaurant. Make sure to order take out on busy days or get a reservation. Otherwise be prepared to have a drink at the bar and wait for a table to open. The restaurant is't too big. But the food is definitely worth it.

This is my favorite chinese restaurant in the city. Fresh ingredients that never disappoint. I had Kung pao beef with carrots, green pepper, and peanuts. Outstanding. There also is something unique about there fried rice. It tasted grilled more than fried. The Chinese drink menu is a bonus and the variety is great.

Fried Chinese chicken appetizer had no chicken in it - all dough, VERY disappointing and a rip off

First Chinese take out I've had in Waukesha where the meat wasn't chewy/freak me out. For that reason alone, I'll be back. Medium Kung Pao Chicken was not spicy....get Hot. Crab Rangoon was yummy, would order again. My husband picked it up so I can't comment on the interior or service. I think it was about a 45min wait on a Friday night.

Ordered To-Go while staying in Waukesha, because it's my husbands favorite spot. We ordered the kung pow chicken (spicy) and the peppered steak, along with the crab Rangoon. When my husband ordered the kung pow chicken the staff confirmed with him 2-3x that he really wanted "spicy" and my only complaint of the meal is that the kung pow could have had MORE spice. So not sure if they questioned if we could handle to heat or if that's really as hot as it gets. The other dishes were very good and we finished all the food. Always such a yummy treat! Best Chinese in Waukesha FOR SURE!!

This was new restaurant of the week and the winner in 2010 10 best Chinese restaurants in America. The place is small with a small dining room and a small bar next to it. The place was hopping on a weekday during lunch with the small buffet getting a work out but the kitchen was was on point with keeping it filled with fresh food I noticed. I would pass on the buffet and get three of my favorites which is beef fried rice, egg roll and pork pot stickers.Service was wonderful with my server bringing out my food in courses starting with the pork pot stickers which are dumped that are fried and steamed so they have a crisply side and a soft side which were tasty. The egg roll was fried to golden perfection with pork and shrimp that were tasty as well. The beef fried rice was definitely the star but most of the tender beef pieces were huge and a mouth full, smaller pieces would be more beef in every bite I thought. The flavor was so delicious with a grilled profile, maybe a seasoned Wok ?. It had a char broiled flavor which was so delicious.Ok my final thoughts for the 10 best in America is yes it's very good and better than most Chinese restaurants but after seeing the award I was expecting mind blowing but it wasn't but still very good.

Fabulous food and drink. Average cost is about $12-15 for an entree but well worth it. A must try if you have a taste for Chinese. Best in town!!
