Ordered delivery from Door Dash. Excellent meal. Sesame Chicken was delicious and real breaded chicken with a delightful sauce. Combo Lo Mein dish was spectacular! Tasty thin pan fried noodles with a light and tasty sauce loaded with beef, chicken, shrimp and vegetables. Everything was fresh and crispy. This is authentic and made from scratch and not frozen food service Chinese. Most likely one of the best Chinese meals I've had. Just moved here and will be my go to for Chinese Food.

Ordered Shrimp Hong Sui and an egg roll. I have been ordering from Golden Gate for many years, and the last several times have been not good. Not sure what they put in the egg roll , but it was nothing I have ever seen. The Hong Sui shrimp were mostly batter and tasted like old oil . Very disappointed.

Picked up food for takeout. I’m not sure how this restaurant has such a high rating. The main dishes we ordered were Mongolian beef, beef broccoli, and chicken lo mein. The Mongolian beef and beef broccoli both tasted very similar. They were both set in a gravy that tasted like brown turkey gravy. The meat in all three dishes were tough and tasted very cheap. Very disappointed in the quality and taste of the food. Will not be ordering from here again.The service was excellent. The manager seemed very nice, and was polite.

Back in high school, I worked in a Chinese restaurant. As a result, I feel I have high expectations for Chinese food and Golden Gate exceeded them. Their fried rice took me back! It was flavorful, tasty and just the right amount of oil! I often find places use way too much oil or salt. I was thoroughly impressed! The Beef and broccoli was also very much on point, the egg roll was solid, crispy and still very warm even after my 10 min drive home (take out). I cannot wait to come back and try some other items for take out and dine there!Parking: Easy in, easy out, no issues on a Wednesday picking up take out.

Very unusual take on sesame chicken. Delicious, highly recommended. The appetizer variety plate was also delicious. Super friendly staff and we even got two fresh pea pods on our way out the door. ☯️

They never disappoint! We went for the lunch buffet. It was very busy but only took about 7-8 minutes to be seated. They keep plenty of food on the buffet at all times. The variety is always on point. They provide different options from day to day, so you can look online and know exactly what to expect daily. Because they're constantly replenishing the entrees, everything is hot and fresh! This is why I'm willing to drive all the way across time every time I have the chance. The price is a steal, and they have servers who go above and beyond to keep the tables clean and drinks coming, so the flow of customers doesn't create a backlog. I highly recommend trying them out!Parking: It's a shared space with an antique shop. However, because the flow of customers is constantly moving, parking quickly becomes available even during the busiest time.

Best Mia Tai drinks every! The ones I had in Hawaii couldn't compare. And the food is delicious. I'm active duty military and I look forward to coming home on leave every time and eating at the best Chinese restaurant in Wisconsin, Golden Gate Restaurant. Make sure to order take out on busy days or get a reservation. Otherwise be prepared to have a drink at the bar and wait for a table to open. The restaurant is't too big. But the food is definitely worth it.
