Cheese curds are deliciously awesome! The rootbeer is the best I've had in years! This was a great gem to find while passing through. Definitely worth the stop.

This was by far the worst place I've eaten at in Wisconsin. Everything was way more expensive than should be. The Curds only had like 10 in my order, if that and they were terrible. The chili cheese dog was so bad I still have nightmares about it. Chili was terrible, hot dog was like uncooked rubber, even the cheese sauce was gross. I had a bad enough experience that I haven't been able to forget it and won't go back. Heard good about the fish plate but that's it, everything I ordered was worse than bad.

I love a good southern Wisconsin fish-fry with potato pancakes and rye bread. This is why I made the trek to John's Drive-in. Fish fry is only available in September through March. The cod fish and potato pancakes were delicious, even though a bit greasy. The fish fry also came with a lovely tartar sauce, fresh rye bread with butter, and coleslaw. The fish fry gets an A-. We also tried a plain hot dog, fries and a root beer. The fries are skinny like McDonalds. They were good, but I wished they'd been fried just a bit longer. The hot dog didn't taste good to me or my husband. :( The clear winner of John's Drive-in is their ROOTBEER. It is sooooo good!! Luckily, they also sell it in quarts and gallons.

Have been coming here for fish fries for 4yrs mayb more...tonight my family got fish fries and the potatoes pancakes were actually hashbrowns...I don't know if u changed products but what I had tonight was nasty and over done...the fish was small and last few times more breading then fish....and the coleslaw tasted bad as well...

ROOTBEER YEAH ROOTBEER!!!!! They have great rootbeer, and I love their chili dogs.
This place is a bit of a dump. Hot dogs are poor quality, dirty picnic tables, brain dead kids on staff... just not enjoyable at all.

They're like the old A&W root beer stands and drive-ins! It's such a fun place to stop with friends or family for a delicious bite to eat and an ice cold root beer! I normally don't like hotdogs but you have to pair up these two items! Fun hanging out casually with others enjoying the outdoors or, didn't feel like getting dressed today, take your family to enjoy a bite to eat in the car! It's just a really nice place where you can relax and create your own atmosphere and fun memories. I don't know why I'm unable to choose but I like it for the food and service.
