Went to taco John’s for lunch today and the experience could not have been worse. Not sure what was going on but the place seems short staffed with the drive thru worker trying to take our order and listen to the drive thru orders coming in. It was painful to stand there and try to put in our order with the worker who didn’t seem knowledgeable at all in the menu or what Taco John’s even offers. On top of it, I ordered a stuffed grilled taco (which I have ordered many times from this place and it had always been made right) without the hard shell as it is my favorite thing on the menu, potato Olay’s and the fried chicken and potato taco. Not sure why this request was such a hassle but the comments from the kitchen that “it’s supposed to be a stuffed grilled taco with the shell” and this entire interaction felt like it took 9 years and my food was made incorrectly which tainted my experience with this place. Didn’t even want my food remade because of the poor customer service and the hassle it seemed to even order food to eat. On top of it, the ladies room wasn’t even accessible the entire time we were there which was about 30-40 mins. No longer a fan of this place for going down hill with the customer service. People can substitute and order things within reason and it’s not an uncommon request. Do better and consider elsewhere for a meal.

I had ordered 2 Boss Burritos STEAK and they gave me 2 Fiesta Burritos which ended up being chicken. I called to ask them to see what happened on their end or what’s going on. The manager went to go ask about the boss burritos and if we gave it to me, even though I already explained to him that two burritos were given to me, they were just the incorrect burritos and then he ended up hanging the phone up on me. I have continuously tried to call back multiple times and they have been answering and hanging up the phone answering and hanging up the phone and I finally got through on more than just one ring. They answered and hung up the phone. This is totally unprofessional from a manager, especially if you give the customer the wrong items I wasn’t looking for free food. I was trying to make them aware of the situation because the burritos are good still did I want steak though yes and I don’t know what the price difference is from the Boss burrito and the fiesta burrito and if I paid more for the boss burrito and I didn’t get it I would probably ask for a refund on just the difference alone. Such a shame that I had to call corporate.

Last time I went in there it smelled like raw sewage. Perhaps a pipe broke idk but I threw up in my mouth..

I have been going here for over 20 years. In the last 5 years, it's really gone down hill. Mostly everyone who works there looks like they are tweaking. The food quality is trash and the customer service is even trashier. Every time, with guarantee, they mess up the order. I will literally never eat there again.

Horrible experience. I ordered through the mobile app for a drive thru pick up. When I arrived, I told the drive thru employee I was picking up a mobile order. He proceeded to tell me to park in the lot and someone would bring our order out shortly. 15 minutes later, I had to go in because no one came out. My food was sitting on the counter (cold by the time we got to eat). The employee said “oh sorry everyone was on break” and walked away.

Do yourself a favor and don’t visit this location. Horrible customer service.
