We stopped for breakfast to try it out as it is new to town. It is a Mexican restaurant, but they also have American food. The menu is 50-50 of each cuisine. The food was very good. We spoke with the owner, and he was very personable. We'll be going back to try lunch and/or supper soon.
Las Flores was really getting into their groove when they were in the small former bank building next door. It was always busy, the food was delicious, and the service was on point. Ever since they moved into the Pines restaurant (which is so confusing - is it a supper club or Mexican restaurant?), things went downhill. The food quality was just not the same, the prices went up and portion size went down, and the vibe was really awkward - no music, no chatter, and it was freezing...
First of all the sign outside reads The Pines. But when you get inside it's Las Flores. Maybe one side is one restaurant and the other side is another. Very confusing. The service was good and our wait person was friendly and efficient. The food was just ok. The refried beans were tasteless. This was probably a one and done for our group.
