Simpson's Restaurant Reviews
Our server was very attentive. Prompt service. The food critique as follows. I ordered the chicken ceaser salad. It was overloaded with bottled parmesisean cheese and croutons. To the point I could not eat it. I also ordered the French Dip, excellent. Fries over cooked. My husband ordered the Haddock soup he raved about it. He also had the Tuna Steak was very good but way to much Peppercorn. The food prices are what you would expect for a steakhouse dining establishment. Sorry...read full review
Overwhelmed owner, bad front of house staff, overpriced entries and profound lack of knowledge about what being a restaurant is all about.
We tried Simpson’s for the first time tonight and loved it. I had the prime rib which was so tender. My husband had the steak and scallops combo. Simpson's Restaurant provides a cozy and welcoming atmosphere, with top-notch old fashioned cocktails. The food quality can vary, but is mostly described as excellent, especially the steak dishes. The menu is a bit pricey, but the service is friendly and attentive. The restaurant offers a gluten-free menu and convenient parking in the rear of the building. Recently, guests have praised the attentive and prompt service, noting that the staff makes visitors feel very welcome, even during late hours or busy times. The food has received mixed reviews; some dishes like the French Dip and Tuna Steak are highly enjoyed, while others like chicken Caesar salad are overloaded with bottled parmesan cheese and croutons, making them difficult to eat. The Haddock soup has been raved about, and the broiled fish is noted for its amazing sauce. Overall, Simpson's remains a local favorite for memorable dining experiences, especially for special occasions like birthdays or anniversaries. The restaurant's friendly staff and quality food make it a recommended spot for both casual and special visits.
