I went here with my girlfriend on a Saturday morning. Service was good except when I had to pay the guy was awkward but otherwise good. I had the chicken and waffles which was presented weird but was delicious. Girlfriend had the breakfast platter, or something, and the sausage links were amazing while the eggs were average. Pancakes were above average and the breakfast potatoes were unbearably bad. They were dry and just disgusting. Other than that they are a very pretty restaurant and is welcoming. The food is presented good just a little expensive.

CALL AHEAD! This place is popular not only for being a brand new breakfast spot with incredible selection, but because it's DELICIOUS!! So if you're just going to try to walk in, be ready for a 15+ minute wait. Food is phenomenal! Fresh ingredients with a cozy, fun atmosphere. My absolute favorite is the Benny flight. I mean, I'm a sucker for Benedict, so if you let me have 3 kinds on one plate, sign me up! Was not disappointed at all. Will be back to try more!

Very cute diner with some decor including...toast with egg on it...AKA the bear! A bit pricey for some items but good tasting. Some things are too sweet but that's my thoughts. Service was good and you receive a warm welcome.

Service is good considering how busy they are every time I've gone and love the logo wish I could get one of those shirts as some purchasable merchandise! One of my new favorite brunch spots in wausau, comfortable seating and bright surroundings. I love it!

Spent time at Breakfast Bear today. We did not enjoy our meal or experience and would not recommend. Tried the Vegan Bowl and was very disappointed. The tofu "eggs" had a very gritty texture and taste. The rest of the food was dry and the only flavor I could discern was the over abundance of hot sauce. I could not eat this dish. Our waitress told us several patrons had been dissatisfied with the dish. We were still charged for the meal Even though it was inedible. One of our group tried the Birria Benedict. The house potatoes were dry and the Benedict was okay but nothing we would try again. A third member asked if the syrup was real maple syrup. He was offered an upgraded organic maple syrup for an additional $3. He received a shot glass amount of syrup. When he told our waitress this was not enough for his waffle , he was informed this would be an additional $3. Also, do not expect to be able to converse. Our waitress was fine but the rest of our experience has not as expected based on other reviews.

The food is exquisite and beautifully served, the coffee bar is awesome also. Our server brought us a sample of the soup "Mushroom Beef" and it was so delicious. From what we saw of plates being delivered to guests we can't wait to try every breakfast, lunch, salad and soups on the menu. You definitely won't leave hungry at the Breakfast Bear ever and we unfortunately didn't have room for dessert! This is going to be our go to place from now on!! Thank you so much.

I have only been here twice, but I really enjoyed it both times! The second time there was a bit of a wait, but totally worth it. I got the dutch baby the first time- beautiful and delicious! I have included a photo. Everything my friends have ordered looked amazing, as well and everyone loved their food. My friend got sweet potato hash, I believe, and it looked really good and I plan to get it next time! 10/10 will be back!I also love the large selection of drinks, including specialty coffee and alcoholic options.
