We ordered a baby shower cake from here Minnie, mouse theme, baby bump cake it looked pretty in some places and in other places on the cake not so much The fondant was way too thick Smelled like Play-Doh tasted like Play-Doh Took two of us to cut into the cake because the fondant was so thick and the cake was dry there was not enough strawberry filling in the middle The colors of the cake were wrong. The design wasn’t exactly the way we had asked for it. Talked to the owner and she wants to give me a $30 Discount for the next time I come in no thank you don’t wanna come back in here. Just want the refund I had asked for. Which was $50 out of $152 dollars that we paid for this cake do not come here if you want a delicious cake go somewhere else. Her cupcakes are dry. Her cakes are dry her cheesecake is not sweet. It’s disgusting. Literally taste like cheese frosting is way too overpowering with all the sugar that they top it with I can continue to go on and on and on about how much I am dissatisfied about our experiences here, but ultimately it wasn’t my decision to come here. It was my sister‘s even though I paid for the cake. We will not be coming back I have been in your establishment numerous times and every time I’ve come in there Everything has been dry I am not the only one who’s saying this and the compromise could’ve been that you give me my $50 refund and never went over a policy with me that stated that I needed to Bring back any extra cake that was left over if something was wrong with it they’re really scamming people and they know what they’re doing. Unfortunately, I would never wanna come back here.

We have ordered several times now and have never been disappointed. Through all the different orders, we’ve tried the cupcakes, sugar cookies, cookie dough, dipped Oreos, dipped pretzels - it’s all been delicious! Most recently, we ordered treats for my son’s school and several of the teachers messaged me asking where we ordered from and saying how delicious the treats were. I’d say it was a hit.

My sister ordered me a baby shower cake from caked it because I wanted to try them because I had never tried them before, even though my sister persisted and told me not to I did and what a mistake it was. My cake was so dry and did not have enough filling in it and whatever they use to put over the top of it to decorate. It was disgusting super hard my sister and my best friend struggled to cut into my cake because whatever they put over the top of it was too hard to cut through. Nobody at my baby shower. Enjoyed this cake. I would highly recommend not coming here will not be coming back. Here

I first was in contact with this shop for a red velvet birthday cake for my significant other. I reached out on the 15th of December (Monday) and Brittany got in touch with me within the hour. We discussed the order and she said she'd have it ready for pickup on that following Friday. Friday came, I went to pick up the cake and entered the shop for the first time. It smelled like bakery heaven. I believe Brittany's mom was taking care of the front and she was very energetic, welcoming, and informative about all of their goodies and specials. I eyed up everything while I was waiting for the cake to be boxed up and ended up ordering cookie dough and a few lemon bars. Brittany advised me on how to store any leftover cake and to keep it fresh for as long as possible. Everything I took home was delicious. We cut half of the cake and put it in the freezer and we worked on the other half the entire birthday week. We then proceeded to take the other half out of the freezer and devour it the following week. Absolutely delicious. Since my first stop, I have gone back 3 times. Each time staff was friendly and helpful. Each time I've gotten the lemon bars (I'm always in want) as well as try something new such as the cupcakes or macaroons or dirty soda. I have yet to be disappointed and will be a repeat customer every time I'm in the Wausau area.
I don't like giving bad reviews and it takes a lot for me to go out of my way and give one. With that said, my last experience with Caked it set the bar for a bad experience. We previously ordered a gluten-free cake in October and didn't have any issues but come December we ordered gluten-free cupcakes and that is where everything went wrong. My mom and I went in to order cupcakes for my dad's 65th. The lady that helped us was nice enough but we couldn't get a word in because she kept cutting us off and going on tangents which took us forever to actually discuss our order. We explained we wanted to do a hunter theme with all vanilla cupcakes. The store confirmed they could make the cake portion bright/blaze orange and could do a camo frosting. They happened to have gluten-free vanilla cupcakes in stock so we bought some to make sure we would like them...the vanilla cupcake that was in the store was delicious and tasted like a normal cupcake. We ordered the jumbo size (same thing we got in store just with orange food coloring and camo frosting). So my mom picked up the order and brought them to the party and I was immediately confused. The cake was not orange at all, and they didn't appear to be the jumbo size. I called right away and was told the order was correct size-wise and that they couldn't make them as orange as expected or the flavor would be affected. That was irritating, if something can't be done as expected, it is a courtesy to call the customer to see if they want to make changes. I let it slide even though I still don't think the size was correct and there is a big difference in cost between regular and jumbo. So it was time to have the cupcakes after singing and we all bit into the cupcakes and I've never seen so many people have an immediate gag reaction. The cupcakes tasted like playdough and were so dry that my dad choked and we had to get him water and pat him on the back to help cough up the cupcake. Not only that but the frosting was chocolate when we ordered vanilla. I have no idea what happened with the order but something was terribly screwed up. We were so excited for these cupcakes based on what we tried in store and there is no comparison to what we received in our order. The cupcakes had to have been made several days prior to be that dry and a different batter used...that or they initially served me a regular vanilla cupcake that wasn't gluten-free which would explain why I got so sick after eating it. Regardless, we expected so much more after spending over $90 on 24 cupcakes. I wrote to the store after the party on 12/20/25 since they are closed Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday, and Wednesday was Christmas Eve. I never heard back. I hoped for a credit toward a future order or reimbursement for part of the order. 12 of the 24 cupcakes ended up being thrown out. I kept them to show them what was wrong and took a bunch of pictures but again...never heard back. We will not be coming back as customers unless the store reaches out to make it right. The cupcakes were dry, the wrong size, the wrong flavor, the wrong color, and tasted awful...for $90 that should not happen.

I ordered a cake for my husband's birthday party. I sent an image via facebook and let them run with the idea. The cake turned out amazing and was delicious! All night people were asking us where we got the cake from. The only issue is that I wish we ordered a larger cake as there is not much left over for ourselves. Hahahaha
such a beautiful little spot with the best treats! always met with the most welcoming service. hands down one of my favorite spots in wausau!
