I travel up to Wausau a few times a year and I absolutely have to eat here at least once. I live in Madison but for me, this is the best Mexican around. Food, service and drinks are absolutely top notch!

The food and service used to be great. This is the second time in a row with a poor experience. We ordered an appetizer, which took 25 min to come (shredded chicken quesadilla). It was cold when we got it. Our meals came 25 more minutes later. We ordered the appetizer and meals 5 min after we were sat. It should not take 45 min to get 3 meals, at a Mexican restaurant. There seemed to be no concern how long it took. We ended up getting our meals to go at that point.

Great experience with El Tequila's Catering. We used their Nacho Bar for our Fun@5 Chamber event. Emy handled the organizing of the order and the gentleman who delivered and picked up worked hard to get it presented perfectly! All around great work - Thank you!
The service steals the show. Our waitress was so sweet! Food was great and the new location is very modern. Prices are very reasonable for what you get!

Service was horrible. Glendale or whatever his name was is not made to be in customer service. He forgot one complete meal. We had to flag down another employee to get drinks refilled as the food took forever to get to the table. Some meals were cold. Food was very plain. This is not a place I will go back to. They also did nothing to make the situation easier.
