Great bar for wausau! I see lots of bad reviews from old employees.. boyfriends of ex employees.. ex patrons etc.. typical behavior from the ones causing the problems.. but now that the trash has taken itself out because management DOES care and won't stand for the behavior the business itself gets trashed.. only bar in the whole town worth going to! Dana is great and has been doing an amazing job the 20ish years she's been there! Highly recommend labor temple and the pizza is amazing!

My experience at the labor temple was very unsatisfactory i am a transgender female that got kicked out cause one of the customers was being very aggressive, judgemental and discriminative towards transgender i used to go there on a regular basis even after I told Amanda that I had 2 witnesses stating that this customer was being very rude and discriminative towards transgender she kicked me and my girlfriend out of the bar I HIGHLY DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYBODY TO GO TO THE LABOR TEMPLE ESPECIALLY THE LGBTQIA COMMUNITY AND THE TRANSGENDER COMMUNITY VERY UNFRIENDLY DO NOT GO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Atmosphere and crowd is definitely fitting for Wausau. Depending what your looking for, this bar is cozy and low-key. Karaoke is fun on Friday and Saturday nights, welcoming to all types of singers!
They also have pool tables, gambling machines, and a party/event room.

This place has gone way downhill. The bartenders are great ? but management has let the food standards and the bar deteriorate.

Unprofessional and ridiculous. Was attending a wedding and the owner/operators were beyond rude. No AC in an already cramped area with over 100 people. I felt like I was going to suffocate. A child next to me got a bloody nose it was so insufferable. They refused to open the windows and we got the run around on the AC all night. I spoke with some other people, and the AC has been a problem going back as far as 4 years now……….. safe to say these people have a record of trying to “cook” people.
Not to mention yelling at people for going outside and opening the door. Trying saying that to someone wearing full formal wear suffering in a 90+ degree humid room.
Also, yelling at children for having fun and playing at a wedding reception………unprofessional is not the correct term to describe the owner/operators.
If you need a venue or space, go somewhere else. Spend your money where someone will appreciate your business and not complain.
So I have to update this now, 3 days later. After speaking with coworkers about my experience at Labor Temple. I was informed by my coworker that a week prior at another event they were having the same issue with No AC.

Parking: Parking lot is big front of the building and on the side
Kid-friendliness: Great homemade pizza great fish fry not a rowdy place love coming here since I was a kid
Wheelchair accessibility: There is access to get wheel chair in there tables to have wheelchair there
We rented the hall for my mom's funeral. We bought in our own food and they went above and beyond to set up for us.it made a hard day a little easier

I am highly disappointed in the service, mainly the long greasy hair bartender. Had to wait over an hour for food after we were told it would be 20 minutes. My husband was treated horrible, was questioned if we even placed an order & was ignored until the bartender went in the kitchen & found the ticket with our order than the bartender acted like it was a huge chore to write down the order again & made my husband wait again for another 45 minutes for our food. Again completely ignored my husband & i watched as multiple customers walked out for the same exact reason. No apology, no it was an honest mistake. Just extremely rude & i will NOT be ordering from here again, which is sad because i enjoy the food. The bartender has no business being behind a bar with his attitude & complete lack of customer service. Do better or find a different job.
