One of the closest places for me to get bahn mi sandwiches and pad thai. I also got the house favorite wings as well, food was absolutely amazing! I will be back. They were friendly, great food, everything was done and ready when I got there. Inside is just like any older wisconsin bar and grill but fantastic food.

Drove 40 miles for their fish fry only to find them closed. Call ahead before you go.

Great food, and a lot of it! The best prices on excellent Asian dishes in the area, too. Newch will help you pick out your spice level. Also, the Pho is the best I've ever had!

JUST GO THERE!

Amazing food and staff. Pho was fantastic. They were making fresh crab rangoons as well and those are TOP NOTCH. Newch is a great guy with great food. Don’t skip this place!

I ordered chicken Pad Thai. My favorite Thai dish.
I travel to Thailand frequently And speak Thai and Korean.
My plate was very small in quantity. $14+ for less than half of a plateful.
Pad Thai was burn’t. Cooked too long at too high of a temp.
If you want awesome Pad Thai eat at MA PHIM (The Teacher) Pike Street Seattle WA
Will not eat at this rip off joint again.

It's a rustic sort of place, but the food is great with generous portions. We will definitely be back.

Absolute HORRIBLE customer service. We ordered a dish we couldn’t even eat- they didn’t offer to take it off the bill and just acted like we were stupid for ordering it. It’s my favorite food ever, I order this at every Thai restaurant I go to and it’s never been that bad before and the waitress tried to justify it with a “MHHMMM..” attitude. So into the garbage it went.

Will not be back.

We catered Newch's for our wedding. He told us to be on time with our schedule to be respectful to his business and workers. After giving us many different excuses before his arrival. he arrived almost 2 hours late. Throwing off the latter half of our evening reception.

Food quality and portions were disappointing considering that we had gone to a wedding in the spring catered by Newch's with less people and the food was far better.

His portions weren't enough, his trays were half filled. Our already hungry guests were left hungry. A quarter of our guests didn't get to eat at all. Newchs ordered fast chicken at the end to make up for it which it didn't because most guests already left. He also forgot to bring the pepper.

He tried to convince US that our guests took too much or maybe we had unaccounted heads. Our guest count was less than because people left after the ceremony, many families couldn't make it last minute, and our count we gave him included kids and infants in the total number.

On top of that his food was cold. Our wedding party had undercooked chicken. He gave us a discount due to the poor service but this was after denying the undercooked food.

There's more details to the context of our wedding day but business is business. He could've told us it wasn't possible and we would have looked elsewhere. All of his circumstances aside, Newch's saw our numbers, he saw his staff line-up, he told us he would be able to service our wedding. We made the mistake of trusting him.

Newch's overall service was not good. We are not so terrible to say our day was ruined because of Newch's, but that is ONLY because almost everything before mealtime went well.
Everything after mealtime was a disaster though.

Would not recommend if you are looking for professionalism or a trustworthy vendor.

A family favorite for dinner, the food slaps. We change up our entrees all the time- but the beef laab salad is so incredible. My husband and I share an order every visit.

We love supporting small businesses. This restaurant was recommended on a FB post of spots to eat in Wausau. We visited on a Thursday evening. Our hungry little family began to order. We ordered short ribs. We were told that they are out. We ordered the chicken curry. They were out. How about the grilled pork? They were also out. Either, they were super busy before 7pm on this night or didn’t plan on serving those dishes (see pictures of the ambiences). We settled for the Thai Boat Noodles (sub-par) and Muscle Stir Fry. We also got the Khao Man Gai, fried wings with house sauce, house fried rice, crispy pork belly, meatball appitizer, Summer Shady and Mango Cart beer. IMO, the only good thing was the 2 beers. If you are traveling for great SE Asian food, get back in your car and drive 2.5 hours west. If you are a local who wants good Asian food, this is the spot. For us, it missed the mark.
