“If you were born without a social filter, then this bar is perfect for you. To be able to relax and speak your mind without any animosity or aggression made me feel like I was one of the regulars..... nothing but positive vibes from when I arrived to when I left.”
“Never have a problem getting in my order even if the place is packed. Delicious food and I have had most of the menu. The owners and staff are always friendly and helpful. With a great location and easy to get ”
“First time visiting the Heritage Inn and happy we did. My wife and I had the ribeyes, nice big steak, friends of ours had the prime rib, very large cuts and taking some home with them. Very friendly staff, Becky our waitress was outstanding, remembered everyone’s name, quick with what we needed!! Great variety in the menu, from appetizers, burgers, pizza and dinner items, we will be back!!”
“Very cozy, great breakfast and coffee. I love how the theme reflects the local schools colors and has photos from the school honoring their cheerleading and sports teams throughout the years. The price of the food is very inexpensive but tastes like it would cost more and the portions are large. Can't wait to try lunch and dinner next time ??”
“You’re not gonna find a better pizza in Northeast Wisconsin than Dudek’s Hot Stone Pub, in fact their pizza ranks near the top of all the pizza I’ve ever had.”
“Great vibes and great food!! Worth the drive from out of town!! Delicious food, fun specials, very friendly staff in a cozy atmosphere and while you wait for your food, you can peruse around their little ‘shop’ area. I wish I could leave more than 5 stars!”
“A giant sign on the road screams simply. "EAT" You have to look hard to see the restaurant name, shared by the small roadside motel next door. Sky Harbor. "E A T" We had driven by that sign and poked fun at it several times, prior to finally giving it a try. Hadn't heard a thing about it or read any reviews before walking in to the smallish diner. Only a few tables open on a late Saturday morning. A good sign. Small town 'homestyle' diners tend to fall into two groups. The first and sadly most common is the version where the Sysco truck drops off premade everything...from the soups to the cold salads. A grumpy cook then assembles your too thin bacon and some fried eggs, or a deep fried chicken patty, into your meal. It's often transactional, uninspired and qualifies as 'dining out' in only the most literal sense of the word. Then, occasionally, you find the rare exception. Like this place. My first clue was a woman, dining alone, that we passed by as we were seated. She was enjoying a fried chicken dinner with mashed potatoes that looked like the cover page of a fabulous fifties cookbook. Honestly, I read the menu with interest, but there was almost no chance that I wasn't going to order THAT. The menu is ambitious for a small kitchen, but after hearing the specials and reviewing the breakfast (all day) and lunch options, I caved to my brunch envy and ordered the Chicken dinner. I was served 4 pieces of remarkable fried chicken with a light, crispy and well seasoned breading that was clearly made by an experienced cook with real heart. A cook who, before putting a plate on the pickup, always looked at it and said with gusto, "I'd eat that". My coleslaw was homemade. The thick cut bread of my Wife's sandwich was homemade. The haystack onion rings I also succumbed to were fabulous too. All around me were patrons clearing their plates and bowls with happy faces. The two waitresses were cheerful, attentive and enthusiastic and contended with a large percentage of locals at the tables. Nearby a young kid was enjoying a root beer float with his lunch, a prize he negotiated with much pre-ordering haggling with Mom. At the next table, a local was schooling his out of town visitors as to the superstar choices on the menu. "No wrong answers", he proudly boasted. It is my opinion that having a business like this provides a soul center for small towns. Everything I saw here was beautifully executed. Nothing 'over the top' on the menu. But if you are driving buy and see the giant suggestion to " E A T " I suggest you do. I know I will again soon.”
“Stopped off on a trip between Chicago & the UP for gas & lunch, was locally recommended. Bit of a hidden gem but food is excellent and staff is as friendly as they come.”
“A must stop place. Takes you back in time. We had four buggers, four drinks and two bag of chips…$22. Cash only and cash register is the old style machine amazing she is still using it. I read she is 88 years old. The kids mentioned now that is a home made burger.”
“We were there for 15 minutes before someone came out to tell us they didn't have what we ordered. Took another 15 minutes to finally get our food. People were very friendly, but the service was slow.”
“Stopped by on the way through back to the UP. The food was great. I had a bourbon burger and it was delicious. Food came out fast and the service was wonderful. Super friendly and a great atmosphere! Definitely will be back to check it out again!”
“Stopped in Good Friday for lunch and a cocktail!! Bartender was very friendly and funny and spot on with our cocktails!! Bloodies were fantastic!! I had a fish sandwich which was very good and others had delicious burgers and an excellent pizza!! Really beautiful place on a beautiful lake!! We will be back!”
“Totally Googled places to eat, loved the name and thought we'd try it out. Staff was very friendly, food was phenomenal and inexpensive. For safety's sake, the floor could use some help, but will definitely go again!”
“First time here, pizza is very good..Pepperoni and red onion.. very surprised because I thought was just a chain restaurant, still might be. But who cares, it was great!!”
“I normally like Cousins but I think the workers have to work on their attention skills and listen to customers better. I made it very clear that I didn't want my BLT with mayo and that I would like it plain with salt and pepper. I didn't get salt and pepper and they put mayo on it. It's not rocket science kids, clean those ears out!”
“I had the Gateway Salad with raspberry vinegrette dressing. It was amazing. Every time I've come here I have been pleased with the service and the food.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kids. It's a happy atmosphere.”
“We stopped here while we were traveling, and we each got a malt. The price was wonderful! A super good deal! We really enjoyed a cool treat after all the exercise we got today. Friendly employees too!”
