“Lagniappe Brasserie has been a favorite gem of a restaurant of mine for many years. Chef Andrew Tenaglia never fails to bring fresh, locally sourced food to the table. In all the years of operation, I have have never had a bad meal and the service has always been spectaculator. I was happy to hear about and support curb-side pick up during the COVID-19 epidemic. I encourage to place an order or two to help support this local independently owned and operated area restaurant so they will be there for us in the future.“

“This place is truly magical. Upon entry you are greeted with an upscale yet simple mid century lake cottage vibe. We came here last night for a birthday and we’re luckily seated next to the window with a beautiful view of Lake Michigan. Our servers Heavin and Kimmy we’re very kind and knowledgeable and were attentive to our needs.Lets talk drinks. The cocktail menu was well por portioned with quality ingredients and the drinks we ordered we’re on point. I recommend the pear martini.As far as food goes the bread for bread service tasted as it was baked the day we arrived. I ordered the hangar steak and substituted the fingerling potatoes for the fries (good choice). The steak melted in my mouth like butter and the potatoes tasted like my great aunt’s that she would make for family meals during the summer. I don’t even have a great aunt. The point i’m making is the meal i had here takes you places and paints pictures in your head and creates memories i don’t actually have. Hats off to the chef’s and kitchen.For dessert we had the warm apple cake with the coñac ice cream. The cake was delicious and the ice cream had just the right amount of flavor to not make it feel like you’re eating a scoop of Hennessy. Le Reve is that place.I’ve missed coming here since I moved to a different city, and yet, every time I come here, no matter the weather, or how busy and crowded, no matter the traffic or the mess, I always find myself so happy to be here, I could cry. It’s not JUST that they have the best Saumon Benedict, or croissants, or crepes; not just that the staff are always professionally welcoming at their worst, and delightfully engaging hosts at their best; not just that the pastry case is varied and exciting (though that IS a part of it)But there’s a certain je ne sais quoi that makes Le Reve perfect. Even if you don’t like French cuisine, I guarantee you’ll be happy here.“
