Golden Nest Pancakes & Cafe

I ordered a flight of pancakes. It was nice to try 3 different flavors. The strawberry cheesecake was my favorite.

This place is a mixed bag. The food was tasty, the staff was lacking and the restaurant itself is struggling to find itself.
As far as the food, it was flavorful. The portions are split. The omelette I had was decent. The French toast side (+$1 up charge) was exactly one piece. It had good flavor but only one piece is kinda lame for an up charge.
Service on my visit wasn’t great. A mediocre greeting. I was a seated next to the only other occupied booth. That was odd. My server was lethargic and grumpy. I’ve had better interactions with buffet mashed potatoes.
The menu prominently displays the 2.99% charge for using credit cards. (At least they disclose that part)
The food arrived on a “robot” which is super gimmicky. The speed of it with the wait staff slinking behind seems like it’s trying too hard. When my food arrived. The potatoes and French toast were not hot. Just slightly above room temperature. The butter just spread, and did not melt at all. I will attribute this to the robot and little parade to being the food out. Would have been super easy to just grab a tray and walk.
As stated earlier, the food was flavorful enough.
When the bill arrived, I paid cash. Waitress returned the change but only bills. No coin change. It may seem a bit picky, but that is MY money.
I waited a bit and then asked. The reply was “we don’t have coins”. I said that was a bit odd and was just looked at. Maybe they should disclose that.
So what I got out of this was, you either pay an extra 3% for using a card, or we are keeping the coins. Some would call that theft. Who knows.
The restaurant itself is also a mixed bag. Lots of unused and poorly used space. The staff should spend less time with 5-6 of them standing around the hostess table chatting and look around the place and fix or adjust obvious issues. All in all, it has ok food but I won’t return. The part that really sticks in my mind is then just keeping my money. Like they somehow earned / are entitled to it.
That’s just my $0.02…. At least they didn’t keep that!

It looked nice inside, we were seated right away and given menus, but that was it. No one came around, we were given no water no one asked how we were, meanwhile, new customers were coming in and were helped right away, so we left and gave our money to a different restraint that cared about serving us.

Alex was so great! He honored us with a couple of poems for the 4th of July holiday. I thought l it’s a great addition to the service. Let’s not forget about Theresa who was an absolute pleasure and an amazing server too. Alex and Theresa did their job above and beyond

I've been to Golden Nest multiple times and I love their menu variety, clean bright atmosphere and lovely staff. I have to give a huge shout to our server Sara. She had a smile on my face the entire time and was so sweet to myself, my sister and my nephew. Best birthday breakfast ever! 😁❤

I really enjoy going there. Eating their food for lunch. Especially, there cheesecake pancakes and their omelets

What a fun place, the robotic servers will thrill your party - young and old alike. And the staff, can't say enough good things about them. One young man took the time to give his arm to my elderly mother on the way to and from the restroom, staff was attentive without being intruding and the food was more than abundant and served hot.

Terrific spot for breakfast or brunch. The place is bright and spacious. Service was outstanding. My wife raved about the corned beef hash and her French toast. I was very happy with my omelette.

Lovely place! Will def go back. Atmosphere is really nice, food is delicious, staff super friendly, prices are affordable!

Absolutely delicious... Best breakfast I've had in years... Thank you give for the Amazing fresh food...

The ladies in the front weren't very friendly and was rude. We were a party of 4 and when we requested to be seated at a different booth, one of the girls rolled their eye, set the menus and utensils on the other table and walked away. Our waitress was very sweet though.
