Food was delicious. The staff was amazing. We had a great time. The drink were sooo good. My only tiny dislike were the desserts were very plain and lackluster. It kind of put the damper on a great meal. I will be coming back though

I’ve eaten here over a dozen times and this restaurant is so consistent. I’ve never had a bad dish once and the service is so warm and inviting. It’s my favorite Milwaukee restaurant!

While I want to give la Reve five stars, I’ve had a few issues with proteins being overcooked. With that being said, you can’t go wrong with their pasta options or the dessert! Definitely recommend getting escargot as a starter!

Absolutely wonderful experience!! Me and my fiancée (got engaged today!) went here and our waitress Julia was beyond amazing! So kind and wonderful attitude, made our whole morning so much more special! She explained everything and answered all of our questions, and was so so very welcoming. She even treated us to a delicious dessert! The entire atmosphere of this cafe was beautiful and elegant. And the food was amazing! The pastries were delicious and baked to perfection! Cannot recommend this place enough!!!!

They ruined our anniversary bc they use Resy and didn’t get our notes about requests for a table upstairs. Even though the hostess at the time later checked and said she saw we noted an upstairs table, when I emailed management, they made excuses and acted like I never requested anything on Resy. Completely unacceptable. They would rather call you a liar than honor customer service.

I really wanted to give this place a five star review bc the food and ambiance are great. However, they have a major problem with not reading the notes in their reservations. They default to putting people downstairs in the cafe area. So I specifically asked for a table upstairs, in the reservation notes, since it was our anniversary. We arrived, and they acted like we never made that reques. We were there when they opened and plenty of tables were open. We had to argue about needing a nice table upstairs and wait five minutes for them to figure it out. They didn’t even offer us a free drink or dessert or our troubles. Absolutely ruined the night. We shouldn’t have to complain on our ANNIVERSARY when we made our notes!!!!! Read your notes!!!! We can never trust this place again. Beware of the hassle!!!!!

La Rev has always been one of my favorite places, so I was surprised to be a bit underwhelmed last time I had lunch there with friends. We always try to get a table downstairs. It's less noisy, but this time we ate upstairs. Probably because there are many more tables upstairs and it's one big open space, the acoustics are terrible . In order to hear each other, shouting was the norm. My food was just OK . I also ordered a cappuccino that was not hot when it arrived. The waitstaff needs to get the specialty coffees / drinks from downstairs. By the time it got to the upper dining area, it was not steaming. I could have asked a waiter to mic it a little bit to heat it up, but he was so busy I didn't feel like adding another task to his day. BTW our waiter was wonderful. I will give them another try because generally, I do love their food, and they have that wonderful patisserie. If you don't have time to have a meal, it's worth stopping in just to check out the fabulous treats in the patisserie case.

Always have a wonderful experience when we go here. Food is always fantastic, and service matches. The chefs here are imaginative and have a real flair for taking a staple like french onion soup and finding a way to reinvent the wheel. The only reason the atmosphere is receiving 4 stars is because they do need to better designate a space for larger parties. On our most recent visit, we were there trying to have an intimate dinner, and toward the end, it got extremely loud... like could not even hear each other speak loud. They had sat a large, very loud party near us, which made the experience no longer enjoyable. I am not faulting them for the volume of this party. I'm just not sure if they can find a better way to try and maintain intimate dinner seating and have an area for a noisier crowd. Desserts are always a delight here as well. A must try if you are ever in the area.

Went to Reve for a date night with my lovely wife. Food was excellent! The muscles were delicious. Had the seafood paella and the duck crepe. Both excellent. We also had the chocolate carmel truffle dessert, which was rather rich but delicious. The atmosphere and service was also wonderful. The only down side was that it is rather pricey, so we may not be taking to many trips there. Would highly recommend though for any special occasion.

We have visited this restaurant every few months. Although the food remains consistent the service has changed. We received no greeting from the hostess, and when a concern arose the manager handled it poorly. We will be taking a break from Le Reve.

A fantastic French eatery. Mussels were wonderful. The lamb was a real highlight. The Steak au poivre was too salty. Chicken liver mousse might be the best in MKE (Odd Duck is a close second). The shrimp was great, better than St. Paul Seafood Company! Their brunch is tasty, but reservations definitely need to be made in advance.

My husband and I visited Le Reve for the first time tonight. The food was delicious and the service was excellent. Our waitress, Jacqueline, did an amazing job making us feel like valuable customers… make sure you keep her around! :)

If you want an amazing dessert this is the place to go, they have really good drinks as well, bit pricey but honestly worth the brand.

We went there in Milwaukee at 1:45 PM on a Saturday for our reservation and the kitchen closes at 2:00 PM so we had to order fast.
When we arrived, the receptionist took us to the 2nd floor even though we requested to sit on the 1st floor and there were empty tables but she said: " because of service reasons" which I didn't understand. (Minus stars for hospitality)
We ordered
-SOUPE À L’OIGNON GRANTINÉE French Onion Soup 8\10
-SALADE DE BETTERAVES 9\10
-OMELETTE BASQUE 8\10
-OEUFS BÉNÉICTE SAUMON 10\10 one of the best I tried in my life
-SANDWICH AU SAUMON 8\10
Not coming back.
