Spent a week in Milwaukee and this was the best meal of the trip. Gnocchi with duck confit was delicious. Pastries for dessert were the perfect finish.

I was super surprised by the amount of people there, so I had high expectations. The atmosphere is very lively and kind of romantic. My mom and I ordered some pastries and desserts from the patisserie, and they were sooo delicious! Not too sweet, fresh, and bursting with flavor. I recommend trying any of their fruit desserts---whoever makes them lets the natural flavor of the fruits come through super well, so that it's very pleasant and refreshing to eat. Definitely going to come back :)

A little taste of France in Wauwatosa! Excellent little patisserie, with a menu that will cause you all sorts of problems because there's nothing that doesn't sound (and taste) good. We started with the 5-piece charcuterie board and everything on it was top notch. For mains we went with the salmon sandwich, the chicken and ham sandwich and the scallop crepes. Everything was cooked to perfection, the portions were just right, and even the accompanying pomme frites were crisp and tasty. We took a few pastries home for dessert as we couldn't quite manage them at the time. The pastries (and crepes) are sort of what this place is known for, and they don't disappoint. Our server, Madeline, was brilliant from start to finish. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive without being overbearing. Drinks were first class and prices reasonable. If you're looking for simple but delicious French fare in this part of town, you will absolutely love this place. Highly recommend.

Stopped in for some croissants (plain and almond) - will be back for other treats!
Poetry in food. This team simply did not miss a step on a busy Saturday morning, from a fresh fruit plate of 3 types of berries and citrus, Shelby's professional and courteous service -- we were sharing plates and she saw what we were doing and provided service without our asking -- and of the pastry. The price per serving of the pastry could give you pause, $6.75 to over $8, but my dining companion and I are very comfortable stating we have never had better pastry, Austria, Germany, Italy, Greece or Denmark. Michelin is missing a star, Zagat is slow to arrive. A simply beautiful experience from everyone, thank you! We will be back!

The food is always perfect here. I usually get duck with anything I get. Dessert is not overly sweet so you won’t feel bad if you have a sweet tooth. I’ve never had any issue just popping in for a meal.

Had such a good dining experience! We sat at the bar and our server was very attentive and helped us with recommendations. I wish I could remember his name, but he made our night! Food was delicious!

The food was delicious but the portions are small for what you pay. It is quite noisy upstairs.
Best croissant hands down and I am a croissant snob. Food is also delicious, a great brunch and dinner spot. Highly recommend!

Le Reve is a fantastic spot for delicious French dining in the Milwaukee area! I had dinner there with a group of five people this week and we all found items on the menu that were absolutely delicious-- even the vegetarian pasta ravioli dish was amazing! Leave room for dessert because some of the best menu items can be found in selections from the bakery. I recommend the raspberry chocolate dome, which was a perfect finish to a wonderful meal with excellent service! The upstairs section can be a bit loud at peak times, so if you want a quieter meal, try the outdoor terrace in front or down by the bar area.

Went for lunch and had onion soup and beet salad. Two thumbs up for both. Was full afterwards and got strawberry patisserie (???l to go. Really light, not top sweet. Good service. Parking is difficult.
Le Reve is a French restaurant located in the Tosa Village. Very cool vibe in here, feels “upscale,” but not overly so. There are two levels here — I sat in the upper level.
About the food:
The tenderloin was so tender and juicy. The black pepper aioli really brought the whole sandwich together, and that baguette — toasted perfectly and was crazy fresh. The frites were freshly made, and came in a paper cone!
The chocolate raspberry dome was great: It was even layered with pistachio (a fave of mine)!
I’ll be back because that dessert case was absolutely CALLING MY NAME.
Like other reviewers say, the portions and quality of the food don't match the price. It's also very loud inside and the seating isn't comfortable.

The bouillabaisse was a bowl of salty brown gravy, served with toast with mayonnaise on it. Terrible, and $39 for it. Very disappointed.
