Unbelievably rude older bartender had us there for 1.5 hours when all we ordered was a medium rare steak and a wedge salad then had the nerve to blame us that they were too busy and our order was too complicated. Meanwhile i watched a couple that got there after me be served twice. Will never go back.

This is one of the best places I have ever eaten at. Also the service was great! We were a group of 4 and each had different martinis and they were all perfect. We had salad, steak, salmon, and their chicken. Everything was perfect. Our server was amazing. We were there 12/14. It was also decorated nice and festive.

I was looking for a steak dinner while at a small bar in West Allis and asked the bartender if she had any recommendations. She suggested Henry Flach's and four other patrons confirmed her suggestion. I was glad I took their advice. My meal was wonderful. The steak was cooked perfectly, the fries delicious. Staff was pleasant, prompt and knowledgeable. If you are in the area, I can highly recommend this quaint neighborhood steakhouse.

Used to be a favorite, however, there's a new chef and food is underwhelming. Steaks were wrong temp TWICE, tough, unseasoned and refire took forever! Reheated the same broccoli with refire so it was mushy. Truffle "fries" are now wedges, not fries as menu states. Seared tuna appetizer was bland, despite wasabi and jalapenos as described. Cheese curds were delicious as usual. Sydney was very personable and attentive despite our very disappointing dinner. She also made a delicious brandy old fashioned. Doubt we'll be returning any time soon, definitely NOT for dinner.
Excellent time for an unplanned return trip to Milwaukee area! Plenty of drink options and they were great! Ty was a super fun/ friendly bartender. Crab cake sauce was tasty and had a nice kick to it, and crab cakes were loaded with crab. Steak tips and ‘shrooms are highly recommended. Casual vibe with friendly service all around!

HF's hosted my husband's surprise 40th birthday party and I couldn't be happier about it. The customer service from each and every team member was top notch from start to finish.
I had never been to HF's before but had heard that their food was excellent. We had the catered buffet of tenderloin tips and added mashed potatoes. We also had some apps later on in the night and everything was so delicious.
The food and the atmosphere overall was a huge hit for our 50 guests. Best of all, we pulled off the surprise and had such a great time. I can't wait to go back.
Kid-friendliness: Our 2 year old loved the pasta and being there for his dad's surprise party. We will bring him back for dinner soon.
Just ate here on recommendations from a friend. I got a ribeye, medium, that was pretty terrible very chewy. Baked potato not done. Mushrooms good. The medium well filet i guess was good. I've made better ribeye and it didn't cost $42. Don't understand why restaurants can't make a decent steak. Thanks for your response but, it's a cop out to say try a different type of steak. I have an excellent one at other places and have also ones as chewy as yours. I have made them and with great results to so so results. All has a lot to doon. With how it's cooked and also the grade of meat. I have also had crappy filets at some places.
