JC King’s Tortas (West Allis)

This place is a 💎. I had my first Cubano sandwich ever in my life. I could not put it down. It was like a Grand Orchestra of flavors, exploring my taste buds with every bite. I loved the mess, nothing like a hot, messy sandwich late at night. Great music and very clean throughout the restaurant.

The place appeared clean, cozy and smelled great. I ordered the vegetarian torta, which came with TURKEY (WTH?). I’m not vegetarian, but was not expecting meat on something called vegetarian (guess I should have read the description). There was some tasteless cheese, a slice of American cheese and literally a tablespoon of beans. Best part was the lettuce, onion, avocado and mayo. Bun was fine, but needed to be toasted more. I really wanted to like it, but it was lacking in more ways than one.

Food is absolutely amazing. I’m giving one star for the rude lady in the front that takes the orders. I ordered four chicken tacos and six steak tacos with a side of rice and a Horchata and I spent $40. I go home to check my bag and I got all chicken tacos. I called and then she hung up on me so I went back up there to get my correct order and she had an attitude and tried to say I never said steak. If someone is spending that much money in your establishment and the problem was on your end, then you shouldn’t have a problem with fixing it. It’s no way that I should be getting the attitude Just because you have to make my order the correct way. She didn’t even apologize or say thank you. She hit me my food which almost fell to the ground because she threw it and rolled her eyes. I don’t think I will ever be back because now I have to talk to a manager.

Always friendly, fast, and clean. Love the burritos. Happy to spend money with local businesses.

First place in Wisconsin that was right next to were I'm staying, and the food is absolutely delicious. Hawaiiana and Revoltosa Tortas were what I ordered, and I was thoroughly impressed.
The in-store area was kinda spacious, and it did take a little bit to get my order, but I was more than willing to wait.

Oh. My. Goodness. This is a TOP TIER TORTA experience!
We split two tortas and ordered the tacos canastas.
I will order these tacos every time I come. Additionally, all 20 torta varieties will keep me coming back.
The food looked so good that there was no time fir photos. Will work on updating as soon as possible.

Food it’s good but I was very disappointed of the size of size of my tacos de canasta. be aware they make them with mini tortillas , the order it’s 5 tacos ( 1 tortilla per taco ) the size it’s bite size tortilla so you will need at least 2 orders if you satisfy yourself with 2-3 regular tacos (2 regular size tortilla per taco ) or try these as snack ;)I’m never ordering these again unless they use regular size tortilla .Good taste though .
