Five starts and fantastic! Hubby and I have visited breweries all over the country. We walked into a homey, unpretentious atmosphere with kind patrons and a welcoming experience as first-timers. Brianna is not only a fantastic bartender, but, adds to the overall charm of your local neighborhood spot! Most places you visit today show you a QR code for a menu and don’t offer suggestions; the occupied barstools are just another patron. Not here!! Getting to know us by name along with offering food selections paired with their brews sets this place apart from the rest. The local neighbors welcomed us with friendly and genuine banter! We stayed for hours and loved every minute. The two of us legitimately felt like the locals and wish we were in town longer. Definitely first on the list when we head up that way again!! The owners weren’t there at this visit, but, wanted to ensure they knew how much we loved our time there. Make sure to give Bri huge kudos and tell Thee Sandra she is awesome and hello to the rest of the gang from Terri & Robert!

The food was amazing. And the atmosphere was pretty cool live Irish string instruments playing. Also the margaritas were amazing. I recommend this place to everyone. Go there free shots to new faces.

We intended to stop for just one beer to check out one of the few breweries in town we haven’t been to. We ended up staying for multiple beers, trying every brew on the menu, and ordering some food to boot.
Very friendly, welcoming atmosphere. Super cool for a true “corner bar” to make their own beer. The styles on tap were incredibly unique - everything we tried was good, and half of what we tried was really great. The fries boast to be the “best in West Allis”… admittedly I haven’t tried too many places in the neighborhood but I can say for sure they are the best *I* have had.
The bartender realized it was our first time and gave us some free shots and stickers. Before we left I won my first pull tab in my life. Good vibes and a good time overall - we will be back.

Really nice spot run by some people that care! Hard to come by these days its seems. I had to try the smash burger and it was solid. Did a single and was satisfying. My companions had the BLT with some adders and devoured them! Felt like people that care and aren't looking to sell out to the first entity that presents themselves. Refreshing, like the suds and duds.

Had a blast here the other night. Met some old coworkers and left with new friends. Bartender Bri remembers everyone’s name. Beer is tasty and food is delicious. Had the poutine and a smash burger.

I was first introduced to Layman Brewing on a quiet Sunday afternoon and have since made it my go to spot. If we are going to meet for dinner or brunch, chances are good I’m dragging you to Layman’s. I appreciate the skill and work these two put into brewing great beer and making yummy food. The fishfry with that tartar sauce is the best. Smash burgers for breakfast yes please! The bartenders are always crafting some delicious cocktails, and I mean crafting. If you’re still on the fence once Sarah comes around and entices you with her apple pie, you’ll be hooked!
Go enjoy something delicious and soak up the friendly vibe for this little homegrown establishment.
Bartender took three shots while I was there. When I paid for my tab he took my 20 and walked away and came back 3 minutes later asking if I wanted change. The broomstick IPA was awful, me and two others in my group got it and all hated it.

Burgers are excellent Beers very tasty and the service amazing. Fish fry was not my favorite (the rest of the family enjoyed it) but now I know and there are many other options. We don’t get out often but we will be back! Just be cautious of the step outside the door
