I was first introduced to Layman Brewing on a quiet Sunday afternoon and have since made it my go to spot. If we are going to meet for dinner or brunch, chances are good I’m dragging you to Layman’s. I appreciate the skill and work these two put into brewing great beer and making yummy food. The fishfry with that tartar sauce is the best. Smash burgers for breakfast yes please! The bartenders are always crafting some delicious cocktails, and I mean crafting. If you’re still on the fence once Sarah comes around and entices you with her apple pie, you’ll be hooked! Go enjoy something delicious and soak up the friendly vibe for this little homegrown establishment.
Bartender took three shots while I was there. When I paid for my tab he took my 20 and walked away and came back 3 minutes later asking if I wanted change. The broomstick IPA was awful, me and two others in my group got it and all hated it.
Kind staff, but the boomstick IPA was not worth finishing. Took a couple of drinks and couldn't bring myself to drink any more
The bartender was amazing! Very welcoming and loved to share the history of the business and building. Great beer and food. Will definitely be back!
Ian was a blast! First time here and can't wait to be back!
Burgers are excellent
Beers very tasty and the service amazing.
Fish fry was not my favorite (the rest of the family enjoyed it) but now I know and there are many other options.
We don’t get out often but we will be back!
Just be cautious of the step outside the door
Loved this unpretentious, homey brewery. Owners are authentic and passionate about what they do. They also have backgrounds in cultural anthropology and so have super interesting beer history to share. Beer was great. Food was great. So glad Layman Brewing is just around the corner from our daughter’s home. 10/10!
A few friends and I decided to check out some of the brewpubs in town this year and this was our first stop. We were greeted with a joyful “welcome!” from the friendly barkeep. We decided to do a flight of beers and picked five of the house brews. The cliente were friendly, willing to offer good advice on their favorite beer and food. The smash burger and the house onion rings were great.
We got a tour of this nano brewery from the owner after he stopped by to welcome us and shared a shot of a house apple liquor. What a great place for the four of us to start our journey.
Although expensive, the smash burger and beer were excellent! Friendly service and cozy atmosphere.
What a pleasant surprise to spend our first visit here on what happened to be Shanty Song night with patrons dressed as pirates! A welcome shot of Key Lime was sweet! And the food and beers were delicious! Great little place!

If Cheers were a brewery directed by Kevin Smith, it would be called Layman Brewing. The most enjoyment I had this week. Prost!
What a happy accident that we ended up here because I think it’s my new favorite spot! 1) small
Brewery with great beer! 2) they livestream a cat sanctuary from some place in Canada instead of sports, amazing 3) they have games, and super friendly patrons 4) sincerely the best hospitality I’ve received in probably years, thanks Bre! 5) the food was incredible! I’m already excited to go back.
